:clapping: if that sucker is gone from the yard... someone is gonna get hurt. Thanks man

To clarify, IIRC the cargo light switch was on the right side of the left switch panel, the left side of that panel was taken up by the momentary switch
-
he only hacked the other side... Thanks for the advice, if its still there friday ill nab it... ill just have to find a way to merge it with my fog light switch
-
i wouldve... but the PO hacked it up with a momentary switch (for god knows what) the coors light cans in the truck explain this, and the wrecked front end

Displacement is irrelevant (besides making more power) Id be interested in seeing the most powerful factory displacement, and all out bored and stroked...
-
I started wondering a couple nights ago, what the most powerful AMC/Pentastar I6 was... Whats the fastest car/truck youve ever heard of powered by these motors, or the motor with the most cash dumped into it?

Well from recent news it seems like he is doing something... Hes letting the Russians count and study our nuclear stockpile  ... So expect to see some sort of Russian device to jam our missiles. And do we get to study theirs?... Don't hold your breath I applaud you Mr. Obama :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :wall:

Wow... That just made me order some flag decals for my truck... If someone gets offended I'll personally whoop the living [crap] out of them

Alright well I will go back and pull it, right now on my truck theres sort of a reciever hitch welded to the 4 inch square tube that is my rear bumper (built by PO). Just looking at these welds I'd feel way safer with something tied into the frame. Worst case scenario I just sell it to someone with a LWB MJ, I just glanced at it, seemed beefy enough, and tied into that X shaped crossmember on the frame

Sweet i have the factory cargo light. i wouldve grabbed the hitch, just didnt have the tools on me, going back friday. Does it matter that this truck is a long bed, and mines a short bed?

Well I was at the local jy today and found an 86 mj. Having never seen an MJ at this junkyard i proceded to strip things like the the tailgate (amazing condition) B pillar mouldings, tail light lenses (PM me if youre looking for any of these) when I noticed this truck had a cargo light. Well I now have it in my possession but I was wanting to double check that this was the factory piece. Could someone post a pic of one for me to compare? By the way this was at the Pick & Pull off of 435 in KCMO. It was a silver 86 with the 2.8 TF, 2wd. The front end was wrecked so the motor is most likely good. Also had a reciever hitch but was not a metric ton MJ, trust me, I checked. Thanks

86 2wd 4cl 4spd bare bones base

Well not necessarily text speak, but abbreviations such as any1. Youre gonna want to gear low to have any chance to turn that rubber with 32s, and no, there is not much wiring involved in the 4wd swap -

Firstly, Id watch out, some guys on here get pretty offended when you post in text speak. Secondly, are you planning on driving it on the highway a lot? -
the blue one... theres another blue mj near where i work set on 35s and a ARB bumper with winch i plan to steal...
-
sorry guys should have specified, I actually live in Leawood Kansas, a suburb of KCK. Here cops get called when you walk on someones grass, or say when you happen to drive a mustang with open headers up the street at say 11pm. Once had the sherrif and a local cop show up within one hour... We're just rednecks living in the city. :waving: Crime where i live isnt an issue, crime near the jys I frequent however is the opposite story. Ive had backpacks and whatnot taken from my truck while i was gone for 30 mins. :fs1: Also itll discourage people from taking it just to mess with me, since MJs are admittedly scarce around my area. Great Idea though, I'm gonna give it a shot

Exactly what I was looking for! thanks :clapping:

alright, just kinda wondering... hopefully soon ill be taking it off for storage as a build myself one with an integrated tire carrier :D ... it gets old trying to load stuff into a shortbed with a toolbox and spare tire in the way. on another note I'm looking at buying an inexpensive 2.5 86 mj with a motor issue. :grrrr: addicted

My mj still has the original tailgate, from what ive been reading a lot of people no longer have 'em. Basically what I'm trying to ask is that do these get stolen often? Ive had buddies who have had their tailgates stolen so I'm wondering If i should secure mine... Any ideas?
-
Ive seen that same mj around too! I know of a couple around where I live but don't know the owner of that one.

MJ rearend is different, the axle is spring over insted of spring under (MJ) the springs are also of different lengths and placed differently, the front end stuff will work on an mj though... However those are some pretty tall coils, to use them properly you're gonna need some other lift components
