  1. in any event, even if my brackets are not direct factory, but rather a factory aftermarket or something, they are far smaller (dimensionally) then any of the fords or any other ones I've seen, there about 2 or 3 inches shorter then replacement ford ones, so still not sure how to trace these down to a manufacturer.
  2. I agree that yours are not factory mirrors or brackets. Does your truck have the vertical reinforcing member inside the doors? (Part #5 in Hornbrod's diagram.) this truck does not, but the truck they came off of did.
  3. so my lower bolt holes are 2" apart, top are 4" apart, bracket mounting is roughly 7" between both flanges and door to outer edge is roughly 9"
  4. ah, that's some of the paperwork I wanted to see! that's definitely identical to 87mjtim's too. my brackets seem to be spot on, just the mounting flange slightly different. ill be interested to see what those measurements are compared to mine, I will post mine later tonight
  5. I just meant was it bedside rust why it was getting body work
  6. idk maybe it depends on type? but my MJ and my TJ both do NOT dim. idk if it matters but i have green in my MJ and white in my TJ
  7. I will as soon as my truck is back from the body shop :fs1:  It has been there for 3 months (for the third time) to fix rust they did not correct the first time. thanks! bed side? other then that yours looks awesome!
  8. mine were are from a 1989 if I'm not mistaken
  9. could you do me a favor and post measurements for some of the key features? like screw spacing, bracket width, space between brackets, and door to bracket edge? I want to compare types if possible
  10. this ones different from both mine and yours
  11. I did find this ebay post http://www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Ford-Courier-Truck-Exterior-Mirror-Bracket-Rat-Rod-Hot-Rod-Part-/131666781334?hash=item1ea7f3a496:m:mgJeSugWcQo6vHsjNmZHsPQ&vxp=mtr which look identical to yours
  12. the brackets are original, they were moved from my long bed to my short bed and relocated inline with the standard corner mirrors as I felt you could see out of them better, especially on the drivers side and to accommodate my 1997 door swap with full window (passenger side not finished) I will say, I'm curious now tho because your mounting flanges are different from mine... yours are flat to the body, where mine mount on half circle plastic isolators with adjustment groves
  13. my LED dash lights do NOT dim, its on or off
  14. the mirror heads are replacement, with the extend a mirror attachment, I know I put those on. the bracket is mj original, the bracket info is really what I'm looking for, as they seem to be MJ specific as of size and contruction. wondering if anyone knew any info on them,
  15. curious if any one knows any info on these mirrors, original manufacturer? part number? any trim correlation?
  16. dude, chill with all these question posts. make one master post with all your questions or something. stop blowing up the forum
  17. Or a can of seafoam. I love seafoam
  18. Black is probably all the carbon burning off. I'd fill your tank with premium fuel and add a quart of kerosene that will help a bunch with any sticky injectors and joints
  19. Body is made of steel. Like evey other vehicle.
  20. If you could do it well, I guess it wouldn't be a bad bumper base support. But as a stand alone. No-no.
  21. the tiny door mounted mirrors suck, but I really like my "ford" style swing aways.
  22. just curious why would you want a bumper that provides ZERO protection to your header panel and components?
  23. personally I don't like selling on ebay as you have to pay back a percentage of the sale to ebay after processing. thus losing almost all profit. (also why you find things for $1 but $60 shipping, I believe this is an attempted loophole to paying the fee)
