  1. that plastic overflow works on renix but not HO, as the HO computer is located in that space
  2. Meyers at least doesn't. MJ/XJ look like this http://www.storksplows.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/thumbnail/300x300/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/d/s/dsc02043.jpg Mines an older style and doesn't have that open top circle. Its closed in with steel bridging the top, Which I'm glad because I'm sure that adds a good amount of strength.
  3. Ahh. My Meyers for the MJ doesn't have that.
  4. Nope. YJ and TJ are different because the YJ mount has to get around the spring shackles. :( Well, I suppose that does mean a YJ mount might work on a TJ though, doesn't it... so perhaps :) is more the case for that direction. I can tell you that the TJ center section (For Meyer plows) is also fairly close to the right width to use in a XJ/MJ if you make new side plates. Or possibly if you just buy the right ones... I have one I could measure if you like. The TJ center section is a different p/n though... And you'd still need the "kickers" if the XJ uses them. (The TJ does, and I'm pretty sure the YJ does too, so I'd think the XJ would also.) For light use, the meyer 6' poly plow is working well for me. But the price was very "right". If I was looking to replace it, I'd go with a Western plow, and I'd opt for a 6.5'. Western plows are just built a little heavier in all the right places from what I've seen, and I often wish my plow was just a tiny bit wider... Regardless of what plow you use, be sure to drain and refill the hydraulic pump reservoir once a year to prevent water from building up in the fluid, or you may have issues when the weather gets really cold. whats a "kicker"?
  5. yep, bought two "EL-12" relays today, going to install tonight. blinker one was the cheesy plastic one, hazards was the metal cased flasher, swapped and problem subsided.
  6. Hey guys so I have all the lights wired/spliced in. And now my blinkers go so fast they don't even get to fully illuminate.... like when a bulb is out but worse. But none are out there is just the extra light now. Any one ever come across this? Hazards are normal. Just individual blinkers
  7. Got all of the plow and light wiring completed and hooked up. Just gotta mount the pump and blade and she's done!
  8. Ya I think I like it there. I've played around with it while driving and its fairly comfortable for me to use. And I'm only plowing my driveway and maybe my parents
  9. Yeah, typical New Englander here. Complain 4 months of the year that its too hot, enjoy 2 months of fall complain 4 month of it being too cold. Then enjoy 2 months of spring. Then start it all over again
  10. http://m.ebay.com/itm/84-02-Jeep-Cherokee-comanche-Meyer-plow-mount-EZ-classic-Meyers-tube-18062-18084-/190615245103this is my plate mount
  11. tire repair kit, compressor, jumper cables, tow strap, bungie cord, ratchet strap, tire knocker, small adjustable wrench
  12. I don't see why you couldn't.... never knew they sold those
  13. yj vs tj frames are really close in design. it honestly might bolt right up
  14. ah so it could be used as an upgrade too not just an issue fix. would be good for an upgraded high power 4.0
  15. So it just relocates the engine support to other existing holes? Right? That's pretty nifty!
  16. Its all connected/ open. You should only have to fill the one plug hole
  17. if you called them, they MAY be able to do one without the oval stamping. but itd be a long shot
  18. always was curious.... what makes it an HD cooling system? was it a larger radiator? everything looked the same. and so the MTs did use special front springs? anyone know spec differences? also were there a specific gear ratio associated with these?
  19. hey also mount in all the factory holes so removal and swapping is no harder then factory
  20. expensive but they are produced http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-metal-tail-light-housings-pair-mj-commanche.html
  21. those would be VERY easy to "make" street legal. one 3/4" side marker light and a reverse light and done.
  22. curious on what is included in the metric ton package or commonly optioned. I have one with some options I haven't seen commonly on others and wondering if its normal. in particular mine seems to have: 4.0/aw4 long bed 3+2 springs d30/d44 trailer hitch tranny cooler factory installed meyers plow front control arm drop brackets extra thick front coils (looks factory) of these or more, what are metric ton options vs towing package vs possible aftermarket?
