is this a good deal?
Puritan21 replied to STERLING STINGER's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
My fault.... :wall: I meant get the Drag link, not the drop arm. I used my stock MJ pitman arm on the box. The turning ratio is much improved....I don't need a 40-acre field to turn around in anymore. -
is this a good deal?

Just my opinion, but I would get a ZJ tie-rod and drop arm. I installed it on my MJ along with the ZJ steering box and pump. Makes a world of difference. -
Trouble shooting RENIX componets

That's the beauty of a Peugot 5-speed transmission. Mine does not like second gear either. Check your tranny, make sure it's topped off. Is your slave cylinder leaking? Good idea to start looking for a AX-15. I just bought a donor cherokee, a 90, for the 5-speed and to swap the 4wd in. Good Luck!

Quadratec.com It's only $25 bucks.

The LCP has a long trigger pull, but that's expected. If you are using it your going to be close anyway...(sticking it close to someone's gut). I have a wallet type holster that is great when wearing shorts. Also have a pocket clip that I put on it. The clip is for a Kel-tec, but it fits great. I have an ankle holster on order.

I love my Ruger LCP. It is a great concealed carry gun.

Housing is different and output shaft is shorter. You can find a good AX-15 on Craigslist....

Good deal......thanks a bunch for the info. -
I know the box will work on a mj, but what about the pump.....donor zj is a 96 with a v8. Would be going on a 4.0??? Thanks

Took my son to Wal-mart at midnight to pick up a copy......there was about 60 people in front of us. Took it home and slapped that baby in the PS3.......it ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! Played about 30 mins then made the boy go to bed. I hit the sack as well since I was going to work on the truck today. My son made it home from school and has been playing ever since...
-
Let me know and we'll all get the trucks together......I'm about 25 miles east of Rolla.....probably 1hr and 15 min from Camdenton. :clapping:

I never received an email either. I hope the sensor its on its way.....

Intake maniflod air sensor......I feel your pain. Finally figured out that this is my problem, but couldn't find one locally either. Here is a couple links to get one online. http://www.tomco-inc.com http://www.rigidsteel.com Rigidsteel is about 15 bucks cheaper shipped to the door, so that's who I'll probably order it from.

My alternator went out in a town about 30 miles from home. I got a buddy to jump me 3 times to get me to Autozone. Bought an alternator, then returned it because O' reilly's had one cheaper (two blocks away). Got the new one and started tearing into it at Autozone. It's a Ford Escape, so I ended up having to take the intermediate axle-shaft out just to get to the alternator :fs1: 3 hours later was headed home.... :D

A Couple Vac Line Location Questions (with Pics)
Puritan21 replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The first pic.....it goes on the air box where your blue box is. Second pic....it goes on the map sensor, right under the black metal shield with the two screws. Paint job looks great :clapping: -

Welcome...my 89 MJ has the same rims on it except I'm missing the rear center caps !! -
I run an old D-link with no problems, but I've worked on a lot of them. I've installed 6 or 7 Linksys routers, I've only had one bad right out of the box. My in-laws use a netgear. When i installed it I was impressed-great range and super easy setup.

Jumped into the wiring today and started at the tailight. Looked in the harness and lo and behold...a ground wire that had been cut. Replaced end and hooked up ground. Now when I turn key I have nothing but the chime module. I split the fuse box in half and have power to the firewall, but nothing at the fuse box. Has to be a short, but not sure where to look first. HELP!!!!! :wall:

Just my luck....now I have more issues..... bought a knock sensor and put it on. Before I tried to fire it up I dropped the lower dash and taped several bundles of wire, checked out the ECU and unscrewed the fuse panel to see if any clutch fluid had been leaking there. Put everything back together and dropped the fuel tank. Emptyed the tank and pulled the fuel pump, then put a new sock and hoses on. Got everything together and turned the key.....no pump noise. I thought maybe I blew the relay, so I grabbed the meter and checked the harness at the pump- 7 volts. I was careful with the pump, so I don't think I damaged it. Here's the weird thing....when I touch the brake pedal or turn on the headlights I hear the pump faintly running-just not at full power. Also when the brake is pressed a loud chime noise is heard (like the door open, but louder). I looked at the wires and fuse box that I messed with before, but don't see anything wrong. Seems like maybe a ground issue??
