  1. Thought this might be a interesting late Easter egg hunt. Name a movie or show with a comanche in it and with the way most of us watch tv these days luts add a aproximint time they appear. I'll go first with the movie I was watching when I came up with this dumb idea. Dark blue 1:15mins
  2. Allredy had the 92 long box lol
  3. Well boys I solved the biggest issue I have with the camper. Got a pickup to haul it in!!!! But I thought it might be entertaining to see what the small few that looked at this thread thought I got. Pictures encouraged!!!! So I'll give it a couple days and luts see your guess just for fun.
  4. Thinking the same thing.
  5. Glad you got it fixed. I had the same problem and it was a struggle to find the seal and locking ring. autozone has it but for some reason there system doesn't have our jeeps in the list of applications. part number (LO zero one). Looks like the price has gone up to $4 since then but thought putting this on here may help someone else in the future.
  6. All three are ho. first one is my 92mj 94 xj ??xj I also had a 95xj that had the crush. I always thought it was to clear the front yoke when the suspension compresses.
  7. That's why mine is a craftsman 19.2v. I got a set of drills as a gift back in the early 2000s and stuck to that battery system. It works fine for me doesn't have the power of the Milwaukee fuel we have at my work but it will get most jobs done.
  8. That's awsome I for one would read through it if you ever get a chance. I tried to find the guy on pirate with no luck.
  9. Trucks delta force or lone wolf McQuade
  10. Cool truck man. Do you have a write up on the 231 doubler? Is it all junkyard parts aside from the 3/8 weld washers(witch I don't understand what part they play)? Have you had any problems with it?
  11. One backwards step at a time
  12. As of right now the plan is replace the running lights because some are broken, reseal everything, add a port to keep my atv battery charged through the winter and use it next summer. One little problem I need to overcome. I need to get a pickup to haul it. I kinda have worked things backwards. You see I have a toyota wheelin rig that I don't want to bum a tow when it breaks anymore. I came a cross a trailer to haul it for the cheep. Now I got this camper so we can stay somewhere with out a tent. The only part of the equation missing is the tow rig for the right price lol.
  13. Well I got it rewired and to my surprise I got everything to work minus one light (which turns out not to have a bulb in it) the carbon monoxide detector (the wires fell down in the wall when removed so I strung a wire as far as I could and insulated it incase I decide to hard wire one later for now battery ones are cheep)and shore power to the fridge that I need to put another pigtail on. I was really stoked I didn't have to track down and replace any circuit boards. As requested more pictures
  14. So earlier this year I picked up a trick camper from a friend for $500. It's a 99 coachman 085 sd. It was used hard by the original owner so it's a little rough. After my my buddy got it he installed led interior lights solar panel and 2 6v battery witch now are about 2 years old. don't remember how long he had it before tragedy struck. Witch is why I got it for the price I did. He had hooked a set of jumper cables to it to keep spare car battery charged and the wind blew the door closed shorting it to the positive clamp witch cooked the main DC wiring. So here's my project
  15. Not to bad
  16. Didn't get a before but this is after hauling a xj off to scrap.
  17. For sure man but never underestimate the wrinkle beer can look. Just plain cool your almost there lol. Keep her pretty where it counts "mechanically" but let her keep and show off the trophies. With the way you find deals maybe you can have a straight in the stable too. Ditto on the long box. I wanted a short box before I got mine and there's somthing to be sead about being able to have a cross box and still haul a 4 wheeler and all my camping gear.
  18. Cool truck man! Just went through the thread and really glad to see it didn't go the way your last xj did. I bet any thoughts you may of had of getting rid of it during those 4 years of downtime were crushed as soon as you got some seat time again.
  19. I was under the impression unit bearing spacers (to align the u joints with the ball joints) lower wj ball joints due to the different taper and the (caliper spacers to use the 99 and earlier unit bearings) or the (99.5 and up unit bearings without the caliper spacers). Is this wrong? I've mocked it up with unit bearing spacer (forgot were I bought it but it's for this swap), a older unit bearing and 1/4" scrap metal for caliper spacer (because I haven't made the real ones yet) and it looks right to me. I can't figure out how to post pictures. Thanks Sorry for hijacking the thread.
  20. In short for WJ brake swap you need; WJ rotors redrilled to 5x4.5, WJ knuckles, WJ brake caliper bracket, WJ brake calipers, WJ pads, JKS weld on unit bearing spacer, 00+ XJ/TJ unit bearings, What is different about the 00+ unit bearings? Thanks
  21. I had a 88 ranger years ago with a "split bench" I think that's what it's called with the fold down arm rest on the center.kinda wounded how one of those would fit? Seemed like the best of both worlds.

    What's it worth?

Thanks John and 88white I was thinking in that range. Just out of curiosity Does anyone know the core charge for one of these is? I ask because none of the junkyards/rebuild shops around here have one so I can't find what they want for a core and that's pretty much what this is to me.
