  1. I have a AX15 internal slave trans I got with my Comanche when I bought it. The p/o like a lot of us was little bit of a parts hoarder and was getting out of the life when I came along. My question is what is one of these worth in unknown condition? The reason I'm asking is a few weeks ago I was at the junkyard and ran into a guy looking for one and I told him if he can't find one he knows is good to get a hold of me and I'd dig this one out of MY hoard pile. Well he called me back tonight so I guess I'm digging tomorrow to see if it's got what he needs. But I don't know what these go for,I'm not looking to make out like a bandit but I don't want to give it away either. Any input is appreciated Thanks Parker
  2. Ordered trans shift cable. Had the girlfriend turn it around and back it up to my shop with me picking gears from underneeth. Finished stripping down and cleaning up the 8.8 for it. Maybe posting on here will keep me motivated. Lol
  3. X2 these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Anti-Wrap-Leaf-Spring-Perch-Pair-Dana-30-amp-Dana-35-/400624095482?&_trksid=p2056016.m2518.l4276 Assuming you have the dana 35. They also have them for dana 44 and Ford 8.8. Eagle are you running SOA with those perches? If so how's your axle wrap?
  4. got it to work thanks a lot man
  5. Ok cool one last thing where did you get the terminal to add in to the plug on the column and how do you get it apart to add it without breaking it? thanks Parker
  6. Thanks that helps a lot. As for the add in wire a picture would be great. I know the plug on the steering column (turn signal switch i replaced it already) and the wire there but my brake light switch does not have a brown/tan wire. looking at the back of the plug on the harness side it looks like this. l_________________ l wt/pk wt/tn yl/rd l l bk pk/bk bl/rd l l_________________l I'm assuming it would be the wt/tn on mine because its got continuity with the Pin11 (wt/tn Stop Lamps (double wire))of the black xj plug so I'm assuming splicing it to the flat plug on the steering column would feed the brake lights through the the turn signal switch.? thanks again Parker
  7. Dude i get this a really old post but I'm dealing with some problems with my 92s wiring. It has a xj dash/engine harness the po installed. In an effort to clean up the hack-n-tap jumpers and make everything actually work i have hit a wall. What are the ten splices you made and where? How did you get the turn to interrupt the brake? thanks
  8. Going off your original post I would check the transfer case fluid level then drain it into a clean pan and check the fluid for signs of wear. the reason I say that is the speed change of the noise from when you had the DS out to when you put it in. This is why. I have seen the front output of transfer cases spin wile in 2wd with no DS from resistance of the bearings but slower than the rear output and the vehicle speed. this would explain why with the DS in it happens at a slower vehicle speed because the front output is spinning the same as the rear while being driven by the front axle and not the resistance of the bearings which allows it to spin slower. The DS can also resonate which would explain the sound moving forward when you put it in. If I'm wrong and its not coming from the transfer case all it cost you is the price of new fluid plus you will know whats in it and that its full.
  9. So I'm a new member but been lurking for a wile now and need a little advice if there is a thread that covers this point me to it. if not i guess this will be it. my 92 4.0HO AW4 NP231 has no brake or tail lights, turn and reverse are good. I have isolated the rear harness at the plug under the seat and with a jumper from the bat i can make all the lights work. Reconnected it and did the same at the brake light switch plug and nothing. Fuses are good. It looks like the truck had this prob before due to the jerryrigged wiring job done by the PO. So what is between those plugs that could cause me to loose power to the lights? thanks
