  1. Thanks you guys
  2. Have you had any issues? i figured i would just wipe it down with acetone and put the new stuff on it and go from there.
  3. this fourm is pretty great. and i'm excited to see if your build
  4. I rectently had the internal slave cylinder go out on my truck. so i decided to just go ahead and buy a whole clutch kit while i had it apart. should i go ahead and change the flywheel while i have it apart? the fly wheel doesnt have any marks on it and the clutch wasnt worn and didnt chatter. what should i do?
  5. I have been pumped up about this clutch change for almost a week and now that i am getting into it, its becoming a pain in the rear. i was figuring a few afternoons and i would be doing donuts in the pasture. i was worried about these bolts. now that i know i can lower the trans down without hurting the motor mounts. i am gonna try it tomorrow and i will let you guys know.
  6. Man what a pain in the butt!
  7. How the heck do i remove the top two torx bolts on the top of the transmission?! I want to leave the engine in. i have read on a couple different post that they are E12? I don't think a socket wrench will fit between the firewall and back of the engine. I already have the cross member out and the trans and TC on a tranny jack.
  8. from the picture the truck looks like it is pretty rusty. but that can be fixed
  9. :agree: more info on the truck and we may be able to help you. i know my oil pressure gauge was all the way maxed out and i tapped the electric sensor from the block with a wrench a few times and it came back to life. now its only maxed out when i touch the gas. then it goes back to about thirty five
  10. i've heard of growing them in milk. you take the vine and dip it in a cup of milk and it will suck it up? i think thats how it works. i once grew a whole patch of tomatoes after throwing some rotten ones in the corner of the yard and they came up. didnt have to do nothing to them except eat them
  11. thats pretty funny Yxmj. i am hoping to actuaaly grow one this year since i have been talking about growing one for the last three years
  12. i am having this same problem. i installed a cd player and had to do it with out a harness because of the past owner had cut it out. i had gauge lights before and now i have nothing. everything else still works turn signals, and bright indicator still both work
  13. Has anybody grew a giant pumpkin on here? i have been interested in it for a while. and was wonder if i can get any advice on it. i have searched the internet and found a few things on them.
  14. i think they would good with my 3'' lift and 31's on them
  15. Got my magnets and cards today! they came fast! i PM you on Thursday and got them on Friday! thank you so much Pete.
  16. Hey Hornbrod. do you have a build page?
  17. Rockfrog are you going to do a write up on your cowl scoop?
  18. i was thinking of putting a cone filter in the wiper cowl bay to help with dirt and water. i imagine you can here the air being sucked in pretty ferociously. i am not wanting to run a whole snorkel out side beside the windshield. any other suggestions?
  19. here's one i copied and pasted (if it works) it uses PVC pipe and would probably be more of what i would do
  20. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/easy-airbox-mod-pic-heavy-write-up-999113/ its a cold air intake that works off of your wiper cowl. has anyone else tried this and if so how well does it work? not even how well does it work is it worth doing? i am about to install a cold air on my MJ and i thought this would be way more efficient if it actually works. it looks like it would be much colder then one underneath the hood. is there something behind that on a MJ thats not on a XJ. i think it would be the same.
  21. alright i have narrowed it down to these two clutches http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=4694283&cc=1181720 http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=4697283&cc=1181720 any help would be greatly appreciated. i think i am going to go with the gold but i'm not sure of the difference. i am also confused on why the gold is almost ten dollars cheaper then the original.
  22. i am in need of a new clutch and needed some info on which one people have had the best luck with. I used a Duralast the last time i put one in a vehicle. and was not super happy with the results. I am wanting a clutch kit with a slave cylinder included. i have looked on a few websites and seen some i like.i am not trying to spend a arm and a leg on it but i would of course like my moneys worth. summit and RockAuto has a few on there website that are decent. the clutch is going to be in a daily driver and mild wheeler. thanks for help guys.
