  1. I did an SOA with 4.5 in the front and clear 33x9.5s all day. ZJ V8 tie rod set up is a plus but if its light off road use than you should be fine with stock bars
  2. I used a cut off wheel and an eclectic body saw from harbor freight. Make sure when you see ready to weld to clean the surface up real good so you don't burn through as much. The pans I put in are holding up a lot better than the random sheet metal patches. Don't forget to treat both sides of the pans after it's all in.
  3. Hahaha I used a milk crate for months while doing the pans and redoing the interior.
  4. Good day on the sand! The half doors worked great and held up to bring stood on and sat on too
  5. Yup. Bent the pinch seem on the side of the bed flat and then welded a nut on some tabs to screw into the inside of the bed
  6. Haha thanks! Its all time, patience, and practice. I never welded before the comanche and youtube helped.
  7. Added in an ARB diff vent kit. The holes in the axles are the right size for a 1/8 - 27 tap. Perfect for the provided pneumatic fittings!
  8. how bout these?
  9. Id say yes. They didnt have the full size driver and passenger pans on their shelf and cut me a great deal on the half pans. Customer service was excellent for me. Pans are holding up better than random 18 gauge I put in the mix too.
  10. Taillight housings project begins! The Maxximas run about 8" by 4" and stick out about 7/8". Maybe someday I'll make the housings yo be recessed to make them flush.
  11. Before After Half door mod was more work than expected [emoji52]
  12. Out with the old, in with the new New DIY winch bumper from Jcr back from powder coat and mounted
  13. My TJ next to the tire/wheel that are on my MJ
  14. I was trying to figure out how to mount TJ half door outside handles to the XJ door. Couldn't find a good way to secure them so it was back to the drawing board. First filling the old handle hole... I ended up taking some .223 casings, epoxying them to some round bar, bending the end into the latch, and making an access panel.
  15. There is an eyelet for the ground. I'm going to pull the loom and compare wire to wire tomorrow morning
  16. I planned on eliminating the connectors. Any thoughts on random black wire?
  17. I bought a rear harness off ebay a couple months ago and went to put it in finally but the connectors are different and theres a random black wire thats exposed. The wire ties in with the rest of them but theres nothing else for it to go to. Anyone know what wiring I bought? The square connector came with the truck when I bought it, the flat connector is the new harness. Do the two plugs connect?
  18. X2 on the ratchet strap. Worked every time I've pulled the axle or installed new parts
  19. Ive been dragging my feet on them too, I think Ive had mine waiting for about a year and a half.....
  20. There has been a lack of attention for the 88 as my TJ needed some help getting back to life. I picked up a Jcr diy winch bumper that I finished welding and soon will be going to get powder coat. I also finally started to make the half doors! Had to stop for the day due to rain. It sucks when my workshop is a 10x10 shed and a tailgate....
  21. Awesome! Does the new relay affect the front blinkers at all?
  22. I'm considering buying the Maxxima M86416R round flush mount hybrid lights. I have started making my own taillight housings that these would mount to and I know I need a connector pigtail from the manufacturer and some sort of resistor for the new lights. Just curious if anyone else is using this type of set up and could show me the right resistor needed. Thanks!!
  23. I couldn't get the gasket to set properly on the rms. Took a few tries and few different gaskets to get it right
