  2. Plans are offroad only. Id like to get the most flex with what I have. When I get around to building some axles for it I want a 4 link rear. Sounds like iron rock is getting some money from me. Thanks all for the input!
  3. I'm getting ready to finish up my SOA lift and need to decide on what shock tabs for the rear I need. I was hoping for some different opinions on how everyone else did theirs. I am reusing the factory upper mounts.... for now... option #1: Ubolt plate tabs http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/UBTAB.html I already have their u bolts plates so it would be easy mounting. Just not sure I like the idea of having the shock on top of the axle option #2: IRO uni mounts http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/10010.html These would let me mount to the bottom of the axle but I don't like how far out they come off the axle. Should I be using the factory bump stops also? any other recommendations would be great! I've been trying to keep an open mind with how to Frankenstein this lift together.
  4. Ive had her in my possession for 5 months and today was the first time she fired up. Turns out there was a booger in the fuel rail plugging things up. Thanks cruiser for the help!
  5. fuel filter is new, forgot to mention. Should the fuel pressure test read 39 even if the fuel rail is dry as a bone? I have the line plugged in the FPR and the FPR sitting on a rag so I can see if fuel is coming out of the FPR when I turn the motor over. Nothing comes out with or without the vac line plugged in.
  6. 88 pioneer 4.0l 4x4 I searched and found the service manual for the fuel system but didn't help. I finally got the sending unit working, tank installed, lines run, and pump wires connected (found a couple burn/cooked wires in the cab leading to the pump fuel). I get fuel up to the regulator but no further... The line is clear, fuel lows easily, and is pressurized. I assumed the FPR was stuck shut so I bought another one. Same result with new FPR. Outside of the vacuum line is there any other reason the why fuel would not pass through? Maybe issues with the vacuum ball? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
  7. The last time I took my TJ out on the dunes the trans cooler line rubbed a hole and was leaking on my exhaust. black tape and zip-ties till I got back to my trailer. Ive ruined a u-joint before from it having too much grease in/on the caps and sand found its way in. Low tire pressure for sure, if you start wheel hopping take a little more air out.

  9. thanks horn! Haha yeah he had an extra pump wired in the cab.... Makes it more fun for me now that I have to fix his "fix"

I started to get my 88 pioneer with 4.0l back running and seen that the front and rear vac harness has multiple line hacked off, giant hole in the gas tank, rusty fuel lines, 70% of the rear brake lines have rusted away, and no e-brake cable from cab to axle. I ordered a new tank and all 3 new vacuum harness' from rockauto. I'm sure the height sensing brake system doesnt work but I won't know till I get everything ran. PO said he ran a 5 gal gas can in the passenger seat as a gas tank just to start it up twice a year but didnt have it running in a couple of years. So I was hoping someone can show me a pic of the correct stock configuration to run new brake lines and where the harness connects.
