I would highly recommend getting the Putco H4 wiring harness and converting the sealed set up to H4 lights. It makes a markedly better improvement to the lighting situation. It was one of the better upgrades I did to my Cherokee.

That looks beefy. If you could fill the gaps from the edge of the bumper to the rear quarters, I say go for it.

I had Duratracs on my CJ5. I really liked them. I never had them off-road, so I can't vouch for that side.....but they are aggressive looking and weren't loud on the road.

I am an X-ray tech. I love what I do. I have been many things in my (almost) 39 years, but my favorite so far has been a Parachute Rigger (MOS 92R) in the US Army for 9 years. Over 100 static line jumps, and an even 50 skydives to my credit. A distant second to that would be a heavy equipment mechanic for a local Caterpillar dealer for 6 years.

I like what you are doing here...and it can't be that much longer than a stock extended cab Dakota. I had 2 '98 Dakota's, and I could not park those thing uniess I backed into a parking place! LMAO ****Edit**** Dakota club cab wheelbase was 131.0" It looks like you have about 10" on it. (Thats what she said.)

For those of you that have completed this conversion, for the majority, is it plug and play? Can you list any problem areas and/or parts that are not commonly on a 4.0 4wd donor, and possibly a direct link to your documented fix? I know you guys/gals are very good with helping and explaining to others. I will also add links, once I gain clearance from the member whose thread I plan to link to. I can't find my answer without going through multiple AWESOME build threads, and believe this site and its members will benefit with a comprehensive and devoted thread to the topic. I asked these questions in my 'build' thread, but it rightfully does not see much traffic. I will hopefully be converting from a 4 cyl to the 4.0/auto and adding 4wd if the donor is so equipped. If there is a thread like this, mods delete this one. If not, and it gains traction, I believe it would be Sticky worthy. Thanks in advance. Jason

I have a question to those that have done the '97 and up conversion. My Comanche's wiring harness is shot, to include the fuse block. When I do the conversion, will I just convert all wiring and the fuse block? I am electrically challenged, so i need everything to be pretty much plug and play, and have my fingers crossed it will be that easy. also, would it be feasible to cut out the floor from the donor and weld it in...or just patch what I have?

I haven't done anything lately, other than score some SOA lift parts for a steal today. I guess I will be going SOA. I would be driving it, but the darn lights still don't work. I am still searching for a donor...but it will be a while thanks to Christmas, unless someone has one they will give me.......(crickets).......(crickets).......I didn't think so. LOL

Linky no longer worky, and it was working last week sometime. Anyone know what vehicle RE2053 spring perches are for? My Google fu needs some practice I guess. I can't find anything with that part number on the net...but I have two of them in the original packages with that number stamped. Maybe universal?

After following your MJ build, i will be anticipating updates on the Cuda. I love old Mopar muscle. I can also lend a hand from time to time if you need it (actually what I am saying is I will need wrenching help LOL). I am not that far from you.

At least I know they will be good to go after I am done. I am not going to do premade floor pans. I'm just going to use 3/16" steel and heat and beat the crap out of it to fit. I will also POR15 and Raptor Line it. I will also make some drain holes for future use. They may come in handy.
