  1. Thx yea I've heard way to many bad things but I've heard a lot of good also my main reason for probably not going for any of the remaned stuff is the warranty issues if there is a problem this is a big investment for me I just can't take a risk of just being SOL with a dead engine and no money searching really hard in North louisiana now for a reputable engine shop to do a rebuild or possibly a stroker
  2. How many miles on it are you happy with the Titan kit?
  3. Yea I was thinking about that but all the mixed reviews on the net really about all the remained stuff has got me nervous I wish someone knew of a good local shop in North louisiana then I would just let them take mine and build a stroker and probably come out cheaper in the long run plus have the added advantage of looking at them in the face and shaking their hand! The problem I've been running into with the places I call give no warranty that's scary seems like they don't believe in their work
  4. Anybody else about to pull the trigger one of these
  5. That is with core or without brooks?
  6. The price from RA is 1645.00 no core
  7. That was with the core right I just got a price from advanced for 1900 without core get 300 for core 1600 that's more expensive than RA that price I stated was without a core also do you know the difference in the atk spartan and regular atk that's just throwing me off
  8. Great thanks who did you purchase yours from I'm looking at rock auto for right around 1700 shipped
  9. It's a 4.0 sorry forgot to mention that
  10. Hi guys looking to get a remanned engine for my 91 mj it's leaking oil pretty bad with a small knock. I've decided as money and time permits I will rebuild it as a stroker, but I must keep my truck on the road now so that's why I'm looking into these remanned engines there are many with alot of mixed reviews on all of them so I figured I would just ask here and see who you guys have experience with. Which one would be the best option I think I have it narrowed down to ATK and Titan they just have decent prices that fit my budget at the moment under 2 grand any suggestions are welcomed and apreciated
  11. Ome's are nice but the reason I suggest RE is the setup also rides good and with the 3" HC lift in rear the 3.5" RE in front makes the truck set level with no spacers I just didn't like the huge rake from back to front with the RC and others in the front
  12. Ome's are nice but the reason I suggest RE is the setup also rides good and with the 3" HC lift in rear the 3.5" RE in front makes the truck set level with no spacers I just didn't like the huge rake from back to front with the RC and others in the front
  13. Does the front yoke out a 242 work for a 231 that would be cool
  14. Well said, just get the rear leafs from tom at HC his kits come with RC for front go in another direction for the front RE is a nice option but there are others out there that are good too.
  15. Great truck I have the exact year and model and was asking this same question a few months back. After a lot of research to get 3-4.5" I come up with hellcreek springs in rear and Rubicon express springs in front with Bilsteins shocks all the way around now there are cheaper options out there, but since my truck is DD/Work/Camping rig I wanted the best lift with flex and better stance without sacrificing the drivability and ride of my truck this turned out to be a great option just ask around there are several guys on here that went with this combination and are very happy like myself I went with 3" HC in rear and 3.5" RE in front you won't be dissapointed
  16. All these guys are the guru's so I'm sure all their suggestions are great but if you got the cash the Truck-lite LED's are amazing my buddy had them on a 93 xj requires no harness upgrade either!
  17. Crutchfield got em even got adapters for 6x9's
  18. Thanks I went back together with it they did start crooked a couple of times but I beat them back out and started over hopefully this didn't ruin them didn't see any damage oh well hoping for the best the seal I was referring to was already there it almost looks like overflow rtv from the the axle tube oh well hoping for the best thanks again
  19. There is no bead of sealant used in any methods I've read you just grease the seal for easier installation this is in a 99 dana 30 the bead I'm referring to doest even touch the the actual axle seal it's at the end of the axle tube
  20. I got this same question following this one always looking for better gasket replacements, that and a kit for rubber bushings they have the poly master kits but no rubber all I've been able to come up with is individual purchase expensive
  21. Bump surely one of the gurus got an answer
  22. Just hoping its not some kind of bearing seat disregard the writing in the pic if you can see the white ring rubber like sealant gasket is what I'm referring to
  23. Hi guys in the middle of replacing my axle seals when I was cleaning axle tubes white sealant in front of axle seal came off may be a gasket? Looks like overflow from axle tube sealant is this necessary should I worry about it a pic I pulled off the net shows it in front of the seal just wondering about to go back together with it please help thanks
