What do we do in this situation? (Abandon cars in our mud!)
Automan2164 replied to MjPioneer's topic in The Pub
I would report it. Are you guys allowed to wheel back there? Why would you be afraid to loose your spot? Rob L. -
Really cool interesting work Dave! Must be really intricate to put all the small pieces together, and make it look right. Not to mention it can't be easy working with delicate, and expensive, precious metals and stones. Rob L.

Very cool. Any really notable/ultra cool items you are proud of that you would like to share pics of? Rob L.

So... are you a jeweler or somethin'? Rob L. :dunno:

Oil pressure gauge
Automan2164 replied to alex_and_sean's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wasn't that what the cluster gauge was reading? You do know that those gauges are supposed to be more of a "guideline" than gospel. If you want a dead accurate gauge, go aftermarket. A factory gauge just won't react like I think you want it to. Rob L. -
Sorry about that... :D Rob L.

Oil pressure gauge
Automan2164 replied to alex_and_sean's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think your still missing the point eagle is trying to make. Have you checked the "actual" oil pressure with a mechanical gauge? Why do you assume it is the gauge, and not the truck? Rob L. -
Pat and I might have another MJ in the woodwork, '91, 4.0L HO, AW4, NP231... Needs an engine. Maybe the three of us can work something out. Rob L. This right here ^^ is why this forum is my favorite of all the ones i frequent. As long as he doesn't sell this one. :shake: Pat and I did an AX15/231 swap into his 2wd Peugot MJ, and then he sold it. :shake: And his GF bought my Metric Ton. :D Rob L.

I have one. In IL, '92 black shortbed. No running gear or harnesses. Minimal rust, but lot's o dents. Be a rolling chassis. 3.07's. PM me if interested. Cheap. Rob L.

Jake, time to find a cheap beater with a heater. Rob L.

Also in agreement. I took my '91 Elim to maaco for a color change. Maybe lasted a year. I painted and prepped areas like the door jambs... All got oversprayed, even had a drip of black paint on the door panel, and dust, hair, runs... You name it in the paint. Even a KITTY LITTER SIZED ROCK IN THE HOOD! Rob L.

I have asked about this before... The local PNP flat out told me, "If you want the whole thing, you buy the body and drivetrain, give your buddy some cash, and he can buy the frame and all else. Even if I know your going to put it back together, as long as the records show I sold it to two different people, I don't care what you do." Now to work out how to get a unibody comanche out of hock... Hmm. :hmm: Rob L.

Cool story, but after I heard this for the first time, I had to look it up. Confirmed urban myth... Rob L. :D

Thanks for taking the time to register your Comanche. It will help us all to understand how many are on the road, and how many are resting in the trails of the sky. Here is the general format: Year, Make, Model. Image, if available Engine / Trans / Transfercase / Front axle / Rear axle / Wheelbase Build date: (its on the driverside door sticker, in the form of month and year) Current Location: Region will do, state, and area of state. Status: Is it still on the road, is it in the junkyard? Project awaiting work? Notes: Anything that makes this comanche different from the rest. Skid plates, plows, lights, bumpers, weird factory options... Would also be a good place to note the exterior color, and the interior color and combination, IE, Bench or buckets, Vinyl or cloth, column shift or floor shift. Current owner: Well, you know. Put down who has it, the yard its in, or anything of that sort. Thanks again! Rob L. for ComancheClub.com
