  1. We just need someone with the big time photochopping skills and the time to get it right. Rob L.
  2. I tried putting my best emblem on the scanner, but it was so shiny, the letters just appeared black after scanning. I was also thinking, that it would be cool to make decals out of all MJ related stuff... Even a Metric Ton badge to size. Rob L.
  3. That would be cool Pete. Maybe have it the same size as the emblem, and make a long decal with it. Rob L.
  4. Awesome Correy, could you just put it on a white background? Rob L.
  5. Have you checked the exhaust for restriction, namely the catalytic converter? Oh, and just because the light isn't on, don't mean that the computer isn't trying to store codes that could help. Rob L.
  6. That would be sweet. Rob L.
  7. Got bored, so I scanned an image of a badge, and used my limited paint skills to botch it up. I've never really been a fan of the current club logo, but after playing with this for awhile, I kinda like it. I made a better one(softened the hard edges, and outlined it like the badge would be in black), but picturetrail won't let me load the durn thing. What you you guys think? Can anyone improve upon it? Rob L. :dunno:
  8. I think it would be kinda cool to try to learn the history. A friend of mine's grandparents bought some land that used to be an old christmas tree farm, and had the omish build a log cabin on it  ... 3 stories, 3 car garage underneath... Another time perhaps. But all the pines have long overgrown, and on the egde of the grove, where it turns back into wild forest, there is this old vehicle or implement trail jutting in and out of the trees and woods, on it, we found push just off to the side an old ford tractor. Wooden spoked rear, cowl, flathead engine everything still there. Body looks just as good as yours. :D But appears complete. Almost looks like it just died way back, and they pushed it off the road to continue on... Just never got around to it. I always wondered the history. Rob L.
  9. Any idea at all about how it got there? Rob L. :dunno:
  10. I was microseconds away from logging in and laying down the law when I read that. Rob L.
  11. I haven't seen it here. I like it. But thus this question. How do you find something like that, and NOT wait around for the owner? Rob L.
  12. So what are you trying to do here? In most t-cases, you can remover the electronic pickup, and put in the manual one... Depends on the year of the case though. Rob L.
  13. Sorry about that Don. Bloodsucking leaches. :fs2: Rob L.
  14. Just found something in a '91 XJ Limited that I, nor Pat, had never seen before. Looked like a hydroboost out of a diesel, but not connected to the power steering pump... So I took some pics. Master Cyl: Under master: Passenger side of engine co: Can anyone enlighten me? Rob L. :dunno:
  15. Will do. I will make a run out there one day after work this week for you Ed. I'll PM you when I have it, and how much they wanted for it. Rob L.
  16. So... Do you have any pics buried anywhere Don? Rob L. :brows:
  17. Ed, let me know if you still don't find one... Jeepco and I went to the yard and found an '89 Eliminator, with buckets, and the grey back panel. I don't think anyone would want it except for us, so if you need it, I can run out and snag it for ya. Rob L.
  18. Guys, if you remember, PLEASE grab the VIN off of it for the registry. Rob L.
  19. Yep. I love flatheads. You could do about anything to a Ford flathead and it would still run smooth as silk. One of the favorite cars I have owned was a 53 Ford Victoria with a 51 Lincoln 337 flathead engine. It used to eat the early 55 and up Chev V8s for lunch. Ah, you reminded me of yesteryear Jim. Gracias. :D Hey oldtimers! For those of use who weren't born yet... :needpics: Rob L. :D Or if our parents weren't born yet. I was going to say that initially, but hit the backspace. Rob L. :D
  20. The chase scene in "Taken" where he is putting the XJ through the paces. EDIT: How could you guys watch the original gone in sixty seconds? I had a headache from trying to follow it with all the cut-aways, and weird camera shots. :dunno: Rob L.
  21. Sorry to hear that Jim. Never easy loosing someone or something you've grown to care about. Rob L.

  23. 1991 Jeep Comanche Sportruck 4.0L HO/AW4/NP231/D30 disco/D35/SWB Build date: 9/90 Current Miles: 234,906 Current Location: Nothern IL/ Southern WI Status: Picked up with hopes to save, but condition is too bad. Jury is still out on this one. Notes: Drivetrain is questionable at this point. Makes a bad rattle, possibly from the trans. Does not move under its own power, and sounds horrid. VERY RUSTY. Blue exterior, with light tan bench interior, column shift with tilt. Late model Sportruck decals. Weird aftermarket hitch, with a load distributing bar to the rear crossmember under the bed. Current owner: Rob L and Pat P. Rob L.
  24. 1989 Jeep Comanche Eliminator 4.0L/AW4/D35/SWB Build date: Illegible Current location: LKQ junkyard, Rockford, IL as of 6.12.10 Status: Found in the junkyard. Looked as if it was in a rollover. Miles: 122,000 Notes: Looks to be mostly original, Grey Wingback bucket interior, floorshift, cagro/fog lights. Looks like it ended up here due to a rollover. Rob L, and Pat P found this, and took the tailgate, cargo lamp and switch, vents, dome lights, center console bezel, emblems, and rear tail light harness. Current owner: None, junked. Rob L. :(
  25. I would still report it. Or have the vin ran at least, and go from there. I mean, lost wheeling spot or not, if that was your car, you would want to know where it is, and what happened to it. Or, if it was someone's stupid way to get rid of a car that they didn't want, they can be held responsible for the mess. Rob L.
