I was running 2 12" MTX Thunder 4000's. now only one and its behind the passengers seat. I could'nt cut down my $150 crunch box(big mistake) enough for the seat to go all the way back, which is where I need it.

Are the zj steering boxes a direct bolt on deal for MJ's? No modification whatsoever? Or is there a little bit needed in order to run it? Thank you.

I suggested doing a registry last year but it got shot down. quickly. Id be down with sending in my information tho. I think it'd be pretty cool.

I just replaced mine this past weekend with one from carquest. I got it the day after i had ordered it. I think it was like $170 Straight-Up. Mine is a swb 4.0l too so pricing should be about the same.

I agreeI believe the engine restore also works. I always run it. It freed up one of my sticky lifters.

When you go to paint them, you should consider using a satin black base coat, then a top coat of taillight blackout for that glossy look. Because regular glossy paint in a rattle can doesnt lay down right and looks patchy and fades quicker. I can't quite remember the name of the taillight blackout that I used but I got it from autozone and its made by vht. I don't think it was nightshades. But it stays glossy, and looks identical to the factory paint on the fender flares. Thats just my two cents for ya though. hope it helps.

I was drivimg down 94 towards detroit a couple weeks ago and saw the new grand all masked up since thats near the proving grounds. it was actually kind of cool.

That one taillight should be in the back of the bed!!!!! The other screws were frozen in place on the other one. The other one is probably in one of the cherokees. Ill check tuesday when i head up that way for school.

There is a very clean 7ft bed sitting in Cat's Part-S-Mart located on Mount Hope Highway in Lansing, M.I. Banged in on one side, but very repairable. This should be bought by someone here. Not sure what they want for it though. Just thought I'd let everybody know before they crush it.

I just talked to Zach, He said they are $160 a piece, and only for a 7ft bed, i guess you have to trim them. He said they are not N.O.S. He has a sheetmetal company make them for him, so its not like theres a limited amount. He seemed like he was legit. He doesnt want to post them on here because he said something about becoming evil corporate something, I don't know, But all I can say is I am going to get a pair.

Did you stagger it when you put it in?

Is the seal you put in a 2 piece main seal?

Does any body know if the tail pipe is the same as a cherokee or not?

Noone makes aftermarket taillghts for comanches that I know of, so I am going to take matters into my own hands, and attempt to make a pair using the existing housing. Should turn out like the ones that were used on mercury moutaineers, the whitish-clear kind. If I have success would anybody be interested in a pair? You would have to find a red L.E.D. bulb to stick inside. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Ive got an mj with the 4.0l in it and has a low idle(500 rpm and lower). This only happens when warmed up, and on summer days. I noticed the idle at initial startup started to become more normal as the weather got cooler. Sometimes wants to stall out but never does when warmed up. Does anybody have any suggestions???

Why don't we start a registry or somthing? Most of the muscle car guys do that. It won't tell us prod. numbers, but it will tell us whats left, seeing as how these trucks are getting hard to find. People send in their vin #'s and catalog them.
