what kind of machine work, what needs to happen?
-
so how exactly would one ream his own knuckles, and there isnt anything in the way of running OTK? edit: and yeah CW post up those PNs cause anything to make that heep steer better would be great. it does seem to have awful bad TR roll.
-
since this topic seems to be answered I'm going to further the question. can you convert a pre-94 AX15 to external slave and if so how? pics? necessary parts list?
-
looks like she held up fairly well! sorry to hear she flipped. sorrier to know it was a BEAUTIFUL chief too. but you're ok and MJ-ing again!

his truck looks like its been painted recently, maybe they did his decals too :dunno: -
I'm stock now but the heep steers beautifully. and tracks well which isnt something id like to give up with the addition of some meaty-tires. ;) I'm probably going to top out at 6" in this truck... (for as long as the body lasts  :brows: ) so i don't think OTK will really be necessary, whats yall's opinions?

if you didnt take the time, flip through the rest of the thread... just stop at the pics... the back end is closed in beautifully and he does a battery-relocate and OBA pump, then a aluminum 'tuffy' locking console on the opp. side thats just flippin sweet. \

oh god... i just spent an hour readin the last 8 pages of that... hahhhhahaahahhaa the owner gets in the thread and challenges to see some rigs the pirate4x4 bunch have built (hahahah wow, obv had no clue where he was) and then when like 395 pics of BADASS rigs pop up he this is good... he TAKES A DIGITAL PHOTO of a petersons mag competition buggy (with southernoffroadspecialist decals all over it (based out of augusta GA, not fla...) then his wife comes in and gets mad harharharhar

NO METAL HOOKS/ends. seen one go through a radiator.

oh man, its been a while since ive seen that thread... i love that jeep though removable top

thanks yeah, the rusty's setup looks mighty nice in design, and i agree the JCR steering isnt going ANYWHERE. that junk is beefy. but my problem with that is my brother jeep steers like pure hell. i'd want to knock around in another truck with it before i paid out the $$ for it to be sure its not the actual steering. and i hadn't thought about rockkrawler but ill have to agree that heims would wear out to quickly to be fun for street... my manche probly will be more like 90% work 10% play... (but we play rough when we get the chance) dirty: how would one go about running OTK with a setup like the rustys one... (I'm sure my local guy could get some uhh, "ideas" from it while using beefier rod.)

hey rockhard can i order one that says jeep on the header panel instead of peej? is that possible :nanner:
-
i HAD the rusty's towhooks and brackets and they did awesome... set-up almost exactly like that factory one, runs back along the frame but they got fubar-ed when i smacked an accord at 25mph. however they saved the entire front end of my truck from any damage... they took full impact and bent/broke a LITTLE bit.
-
the SCCA ones were all 2.5s IIRC, so i don't think they had the same oil-pan clearance issues
-
main difference is the jeep having a solid header panel and the dodge grill being attached to the hood. change that and you have a 2008 comanche front clip. i bet you could customize that EASILY into a manche.
-
haha if i was him i'd just go by SUPERRR haha. wow. my stepmom got ahold of that one last night and thats all she kept sayin... "wTH who does that?"

Jon kelley (5-90 on NAXJA) is one of the most knowledgeable guys ever. he's like eagle. helped me with some problems before  i would buy any product he makes with confidence that it's top-notch

Oizarod115 replied to ORCA's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i have no idea but you might check your fuse box for clutch fluid :dunno: it sometimes drips in there and jacks everything up good luck with this one man i hate wiring issues :headpop: -
i've looked at a couple different steering systems, my brother runs the JCR setup which is really sloppy but that could be his jeep not the steering. idk http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=1TNST&Category_Code=S6 that ones going to require paid work of a shop though for reaming the knuckles. Currie enterprises has this kit here... http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/product.aspx?id=1219 which is quite a bit pricier but direct bolt in so about the same $ in the end. now, just pretend you don't know who the manufacturer is given their rep. but Rusty's has this kit which looks to be better than either as direct bolt-in and goes to a straight tie-rod with the drag-link attaching to the tie-rod. http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=rustys&Product_Code=SC-250&Category_Code=ste so what do yall think? i know i could go with a stock ZJ setup too or just the JCR tie-rod here http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=STBLT&Category_Code=S6 thanks for your input/opinions in advance.

:D  i want one.

yeah if you get rid of the height/load sensing valve yuo will end up essentially with 'full load' brakes so they will be a little touchier than they would be if this valve was performing correctly
-
how exactly do you adjust the TPS anyways?

 kudos
