    My house!

Congrats! Looks like you have a nice lot there. I'm curious as to what is shown in the pictures with the wooden formers and the red fill inside them. I'm not very familiar with slab construction, up this way it's mostly basements.
  9. Great vid! What was the guy doing with the flammable liquid on the tire? Looked like it seated it on the rim quickly, but I've never seen anything like that before.
  10. There are collectors of railroad airhorns who get together to blow there stuff but they do it legally in the woods rather than scaring the crap out of pedestrians on the street. I collected some short videos a while back: http://www.true2scale.net/horns The large horn in the bed of the one truck is from a freighter for those who want to outdo a train, lol.
  11. LOL, you had me going there, funny stuff! :D
  12. If Joe doesn't take you up on that offer I'd be grateful if you would let me know.
  13. I haven't had an e-brake for several years now because of that same exact problem. I took the rachet assembly off and cleaned out the ratchet and pawl and it still doesn't hold. The dealer wanted close to $300 for a new assembly when I first had the problem and now the unit isn't even stocked anymore. It looks like the junkyard is the only affordable option but I suspect finding a ratchet that still catches or even getting the chance to test it in place with potential frozen brake cables will make it hard to locate a replacement. I haven't had any problems with inspection because the garage that does the inspection has been servicing my vehicles for 19 years now and they understand the situation.
  14. The 89 manual says there are 6 bolts as follows: -A nut and bolt at the rear of each sill member. Remove through sillmember hole. -Two nuts and bolts at each side ot the cargo box. Hope that helps.
  15. I'm one of the few members on here with a stock 2WD and I have no plans to modify it. It still serves the purposes I bought it for 17 years ago and I hope to keep it running another 17 years if I can because I still love driving it. This site is a goldmine of information even for us non 4x4 folks and I have learned more about my truck in the past year than in the previous 16 years. Many thanks to Pete and the rest of the contributors for what we have here!

  18. I've had the high idle problem in the past and spraying the TPS connector with tuner cleaner from Radio Shack solved the problem.
  19. The manual shows three plugs at the end of the harness that runs across the fuel rail: coolant temp, knock sensor and a three wire oxygen sensor connector. I can post the wiring diagram for that area if you need it.
  20. From the 89 Manual, dimensions for the LB: http://users.erols.com/true2scale/mjframe.jpg
  21. I like a stencil look:
  22. Here you go, resized...just save the image and replace the original with this one. Funny image though, I like it. http://users.erols.com/true2scale/get-to-the-choppa.jpg
  23. The factory manual says overall length is 179.3 inches for the shortbed.
