    Before and After

At 2 months old, in Dec of 1989: As it sits now, 147k miles later: Pretty much still stock except for the cap, driving lights and wheels.
  2. The wire colors match the description for the connection to the emissions maintenance timer: 20OR/WT 18BK 20GY
  3. I bought mine new! :waving: 89 with an 8 slot grill. According to the 90 brochure I have, the SporTruck and base LB got the black grill, the Pioneer got the black & argent grill and the Eliminator of course got the color matched grill.
  4. Here's the info from the 89 FSM:
  5. Here's another Pioneer package sticker:

  8. This is the most civilized forum around by a long shot!
  9. Another image hosting option is your own ISP if they offer free space as part of your service. I have RCN cable and I get 10Mb of space which I use for my sigs and images. You would need to use a file transfer program such as WS_FTP but once you set things up it's very easy to upload images and then add the URL into your post. Just another option.
  10. My girlfriend fosters kittens for a local rescue and while I've always been partial to dogs, the little guys kind of grow on you.
  11. He also doesn't know how to spell Comanche.
  12. Sorry, this one didn't turn out very well. Turning a white vehicle into a dark colored vehicle is hard because white doesn't show the same dark and light areas that you can see on that blue truck. Your photo is also pretty washed out, you can't even see the edge of the hood. This gives you a general idea of how blue would look but there's none of the deepness and richness that you see in the Ram, you just can't make something from nothing, even in photoshop.
  13. Can you post a pic of this color on another vehicle? I can give it a try, but the pic of your truck is a little washed out and the detail is lost in a lot of places. Do you have any other pics of your MJ? I use Paint Shop Pro, it's a cheaper alternative to PhotoShop with less bells and whistles but it does what I need for my work.
  14. The black isn't quite the same top and bottom, but I do like the second version a lot.
  15. Here's a page from the 89 FSM:
  16. Speaking of VW's, my DD is an 02 GTI. It only gets 28-30 highway with the VR6 but that's a lot better than the 20 the MJ gets. The Jetta/GTI 1.8T is more economical as long as you don't get on the turbo too much.

    computer help

You can turn on and off picture display in Internet Explorer, click on the Tools tab, then Internet Options, then Advanced, then select Show pictures and then Apply. Not sure about #2 though, is it just the one site that doesn't display?
  18. Not a big fan of the curvy parts, maybe a little better:? Now it needs wheel flares...

    CC Handles

I build architectural models for a living and the primary tool used is the X-acto knife. I started using this name about 9 years ago when I first got an internet connection and it stuck.
  22. I had the same issue using the pliers style special tool. I think I ended up using a pair of needle nose pliers to squeeze the projecting ends of the connector and got it to release. The parts store had several styles of disconnect tools, one of which was a plastic disk shape that probably would have worked better than the pliers shaped set I bought.
  23. Here's the FSM wiring diagram which might help: http://users.erols.com/true2scale/rearwire.jpg http://users.erols.com/true2scale/rearwire2.jpg
  24. I installed my set yesterday and it went pretty smoothly aside from an o-ring getting torn during the install resulting in lots of gas sprayed around on the initial startup. Fixed that up and everything worked fine. Thanks for the info on installation Brent, between that and the FSM it was a easy job. Thanks also to Wojtek for providing a good product and great service.
