  1. I live up north in the rust belt and see them EVERYWHERE since I bought mine granted there almost all in terrable condition. None in the yards thought when I go looking for parts.

  4. Will the engine harness work off of a XJ on a MJ I think I am going to need one looking for options.
  5. Do not be shocked if it does not fix them I put 2 new bulbs in and nothing. Those factory lights are a pain to make work. I did the upgrade I found on here to new ones.
  6. Just wanted to let you guys that are folling I have not been able to try much lately think I have this flu thats going around. Hope to get back to it soon.
  7. We just did these last week. Mine were boogered up we ended up removing the motor mounts and let the motor down as far as we could. Then once we were sure the e12 was in place we pounded it on very carefully. Several small taps on the end on the many extensions while someone was guiding and watching from the top. This got it on and then they broke free I know exactly what your going thru :wall: Good luck!

  9. This type of stuff is becoming more common this is why its more important than ever to stand up for whats right and to fight and defend our right to Bear Arms. This kind of stuff just makes me turn in my sleep at night.
  10. Bearings were gone sound like little gremlins in the lower end with hammers. I used the pan from my old motor had less rust. There was bronze caked in the bottom around the drain at least 1/4 inch thick. Truck ran excellent until I pulled the motor never had a problem (other than the knocking) I will have owned it for a year in October. Should also metion I used my intake, fuel rail, etc, new manafold also.
  11. New engine was out of a 89 also and I used the flywheel off the old motor as the new one did not come with one. Sensor are also for the 89 even went in today and put all the old one back in just to see. Please keep all ideas coming though!
  12. we got a new meter and yes the cps is working still no spark. I am tired of dumping money in this but was thinking of a new coil.
  13. Hope some one is still watching this. Even thought we changed the cps neither one the old or new is putting anything out while cranking??????????????? Any ideas? Did the flywheel have to go on in any certain relation? Also this is the one off the running motor.
  14. Ok working on it right now tested the crank sensor showed ok took it out it was clean put the old one in just to see and still no spark. Will the cam sensor in the dizzy do this? Going to reckeck grounds now.
  15. Thanks for all the help guys I wish it was a new painted block its a new to me motor. The relay continues to click as long as the keys on also clicks while its cranking. Its the middle so that`s the o2 I did get the o2 off ebay no signs of it being installed before and it was a borg warner. We tried to do a good job on the grounds but will redue and recheck them and clean better today. We tied all the wires up and were realy easy in setting it in but will check the wires again also. New thought would the distributor being in wrong or faulty cause this also? I need to put my old distributor in and reset the timing? Thats one of the few parts I used off the doner. Will do the tests on the cps also would some crud getting on the CPS just another thought I had.
  16. Well a local garage just today when I walked in was unpacking a Dorman gas line repair kit. Very nice kit from what I can tell. He had the end to repair it so all is good on the line. Still fighting the no spark issue after the engine change see my other post.
  17. I put the new sensor in after it was bolted up it was in a bag from mopar no cardboard that I could see on it. I did it this way as not to damage it. I am pretty new to vehicles with this sensor crap so my knowledge is limited except for what I have read on here. So should I realy pull this cps and try the old one?
  18. 89 4.0 comanche. installed new motor, new o2 sensor, new cps sensor. went over everything 3 times and still have no spark. Also, when key is in on position, one of the relays up by the battery is clicking really loud (the middle relay). Any help???? Any idea?????
  19. Where is the factory mounting point for the negative battery wire on the 4.0 MJ.
  20. Ok whoever designed these things should be beaten. What are my choices for bypassing or doing away with them. I got it apart but can not get it together and its full of rust. This is the one near the manifold. Can I just do rubber line and clamps like we did on the 70`s cars.

  23. Wish it was on the back then offset to the right and smaller on the front.
