  1. Well up in MI paying about $1.55 On the way up the cheapest I saw it was $1.48 in Tenn just before you hit Kentucky where it was $1.67.
  2. I could do the 5.5.5 bp and get a set of spacers to match for the 8.8 in the rear. Give me a link Pete on those m44's :help:
  3. That is what I thought. I think there is a article on it in JP or Petersens mag, something about the tubes I think still a weak but either way I know it would be better than a D30. But I was wondering how stupid it would be to truss the d30 and alloy the shafts and run 4.88's turning my 37's or should I source out a D44 or 60 perhaps. Just was wondering on the 60's being I was told they are to big for the unibody strength. :dunno: The girl wants me to swap everything over to my red jeep and make it pretty and I think I want to as well. as my green would be great with the top cut off but the rust is getting to it bad under neath and would need some major work that isn't worth it. So thinking just plate the the hell out of the frame and build my cage inside and swap the drivetrain out and suspension and etc.
  4. I heard a few things on those jk 44's that they have a trouble some area that is weak. :???:
  5. :shake: I got a camera I just forgot it. Hitting the trail was a last minute thing so didn't go home frist to get the camera.
  6. I hear mix answers as if a 60 is to big for a unibody is this true? Perhap just run a D44 only running 37's? And what year D44 whould be best for the rig?
  7. Lift that rear end up and you shouldn't ever drag it
  8. Well, I'm back up in MI. left the jeep down there with a full tank of gas for when I go back. Going to be up for Christmas and New Years then heading back down with the family for good. I got no picks though the few times I went out I forgot the camera, and I wish I had had it the last time I went, my brother came and well we went though some $#!&. One mud hole was so deep it was coming over my dash and flooded my rear floorboard. I came to a dead stop in that hole about 3/4 of the way through but I kept working it left and right and back and forward and I made it through after a few mintutes with no outside help. That was awesome, then we climbed some wicked hills all ruted up and trenched out, my jeep flexed awesome and had no problems with whatever I pointed the nose at. Then there was some rock walls that I was scrared to try to climb before but since my brother was the in his yota mini truck on 38's, I had to try to show him up, and I climbed the rock wall like nothing, I love 4WD. I did it twice so my brother had to try, and well I think he took out a axle or ujoint, He go to hopping and then it just went. So he unlocked and we took off home, I was laughing at his @$$ for this all night to. Then the next day driving to work, started going up a little hill and I heard something give out. Some inspection tought it be my darn track bar again with the bushing blew out, so replaced with heim, then once all was tight checked my wheel bears and well yeah, had about a 1/2'' to 1'' play. NICE! So $175 later I slapped to hubs on and parked her and left back up here. So she is ready for when I get back. I'll get pics when I get back down there for sure, those trails are awesome compared to up here.
  9. Whetre you from in AL? I just moved down to AL in fultondale.
  10. Paying $2.29 to fill up, but girl told me they paying $1.95 back up there in MI. But I'm not complaining to much just glad it's back under $2.50 again....but for how long :hmm:
  11. Well in Al. Made the drive in like 15 hrs. No problems at all the rig drove great. Took like $175 in gas, of course got a little lost trying to find the Badlands, was going to stop just to meet some of the guys, but got to pissed so just took off to AL,(I'll be back). well since I got here I took the jeep out once in 2wd, since I have a streatched chain in the t-case( being fixed on WED :brows: ), but went out and got muddy and finished ripping the liftgate off by a tree I got fell into. But fixed that but taking the whole liftggate off. I like it like having tube doors on. But thus far I added bump stops to the rear and new Rancho 5000 shocks, also put my 1 1/2" shackles on the rear. I cut the rear quarters out. But yeah met some great people down here. I live 2 miles down the road from Offroad Connection. The owner Keith will be halping me out on my t-case and which ever else I may need for the rig. I always wanted to live near a offroad shop, but damn it's getting expensive. Buy something every week. :shake: And also, I live like 10 mins from Mt. Olive, which is the place for jeeps. Any one ever heard of Grey Rock ORV Park? 2100 acres of riding! :brows: :brows: :brows: :brows: :clapping: Getting my buttoned up and helping my brother with his then we will be out there come December. But alright I'll be hit and miss on here for a few more weeks, debateing yet weather to get the kids and the girl down here :dunno: :rotf:
  12. right about not standing, cause she'll be on her knees. Did I say that out loud?
  13. Beer Camp????? :beerhead:
  14. We won't miss you! :teehee: Have fun and get some pics.
  15. Well paid 2.65 today took $45 to fill up Been long time since I been able to fill up under $50. I hear they filling up at $2.39 in Detroit. Sweetness and crude oil is going for $64 a barrel which is a far cry from $110 back in May-June. :hmm:
  16. That is the ballast resistor... ;) You can bypass it and see if it makes any difference. Yeah! Thanks man, just couldn't think of the name for nothing :laughin:
  17. So just buy the whole stinking sending unit/pump for like $130 and call it a day. It was what I did with mine, Then no have to worry about not finding a pump.
  18. regear it man. Or wait 3 months and buy mine :brows:
  19. An easy to to check your fuel pump is to pull the plug and run gator clips to the plug and connect it or touch it to a battery and if it pumps out gas you pump is good, most of the time anyways, so then from there if good check sensors and the bypass thingy on the drivers fender wall for the adjustment of power to the pump(Brain fart can't think of name), the check at fuel rail for pressure.
  20. :agree:  :USAflag:
  21. I would if I wasn't leaving to AL this weekend. But we will meet up and ride sometime next spring :brows:
  22. I didn't really like the shield at first, but the more I clean it up it just keeps looking better. And with those 37's on there I love the look of the windshield. Pete your right it is fun.
  23. It's a full size Bronco single hinge fold down windshield. It was going to be my windsheild with the Bronco Hardtop that was going on it. Was gong to put in a cage and have it set up for a removable top.
