Well picked up some more parts, a lot of the little stuff here and there, then painted up the frame plates for the steering box, then once i ream the pitman arm I will install the box. I made a inside plate as well for the passenger side frame, why not right. Got 4x8 sheet of 16ga for the floors so will be working on that in the next week or so. Got everything for the inside to the knuckles for the 44, so that should be put together here over the next couple weeks,(sending it out to be done. Got me a welder finally now, so look out, my welds may not hold up but we'll see how the floors do. Steering braces My first welding try out, not bad I think for a 110 flux core, be good for me as a beginner. metal for floors Chevy spindles turned down for Ford bearings and hubs, also high steer arm. Bearings and ball joints to finish up the 44. Did not go Moogs right at the moment, as will deal with that later, just trying to work with what I got. -

Can't you buy the same thing for like $75, hi-flow housing, wouldn't that be a idea.?  :rofl2: Sure can!! But ain't that 75clams better in yours or my pocket than someone else's?? :brows: :brows: :brows: I almost did it just to get the extra bung for another temp sensor. But was talked out of it... :rotf: CW I just saw your smiles at the end... Sarcasm sometimes isn't immediately apparent in the written word.... I like the way you think!! GOOD MAN!!! ;) :D yeah I was going to do the same mod as I have an extra housing so was going to play with it then put it on later. Not really messing with the engine much untill everything else is done. Got to save where you can so you can go high dollar where you need to.

Frame stiffeners (going 1 ton's)
MiNi Beast replied to Rokhound's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Ok next step in mine is plating the frame. Have a question, would you guys say it is better to plate the frame with a outside single plate, then simple section on the inside where the link mounts are going, or To plate the whole frame inside and out and underneath the whole length of the frame, then weld my link mounts, blah blah or would that be over kill? A cage is being installed as well after the suspension is underneath the jeep. opinions go! -

thanks all yeah a little wide then was thinking but I can change that later with the rims and backspacing as of now running with what I got. They say wider is better right? :shake: -
it should after I cut and extend it out some and shove some 44 shafts in it. :laughin: but seriously, that thing looks sick from the front. 83" outside of tires will be the width of the beast.

ok then I'll plate the frame inside and out with 3/16 then have each piece bent on bothsides of the frame then weld some nuts and utilize that as a mounting point for the bumber thus making it apart of the whole rear frame, what you think about that? Gettin a welder here in the next couple weeks so will be going to town on the rear end and that's, with what you explain the best way I see that I could fully secure it at the mounts, with out cutting up the bumper.
