  1. That's it? Mine is like 80". Yours looks way wider. :dunno: round about guess yeah should be about that. Perhaps the tires just make it appear that way compared to yours.
  2. Ok next step in mine is plating the frame. Have a question, would you guys say it is better to plate the frame with a outside single plate, then simple section on the inside where the link mounts are going, or To plate the whole frame inside and out and underneath the whole length of the frame, then weld my link mounts, blah blah or would that be over kill? A cage is being installed as well after the suspension is underneath the jeep. opinions go!
  3. that looks so pretty. :clapping:
  4. trails, this is not for trails, this for some of that wide open Canada snow wheeling!
  5. thanks all yeah a little wide then was thinking but I can change that later with the rims and backspacing as of now running with what I got. They say wider is better right? :shake:

  7. it should after I cut and extend it out some and shove some 44 shafts in it. :laughin: but seriously, that thing looks sick from the front. 83" outside of tires will be the width of the beast.
  8. Come on I'm wanting for the hoop to get did up, Need some ideas for my own. :brows:

  10. very nice write up. I enjoyed the read.
  11. well took a motivational pic before started the front end tear down... Give or take a couple inchs but about how it will look.

  13. See I thought it stuck out a little far too. yeah I'll figure a way to intragate it together, Got a pic idear in the noggle so will figure out, besides not going out backwards only forward. :rotfl2:
  14. so this one is mine right? You then building the solid one based off this one?
  15. ok then I'll plate the frame inside and out with 3/16 then have each piece bent on bothsides of the frame then weld some nuts and utilize that as a mounting point for the bumber thus making it apart of the whole rear frame, what you think about that? Gettin a welder here in the next couple weeks so will be going to town on the rear end and that's, with what you explain the best way I see that I could fully secure it at the mounts, with out cutting up the bumper.
  16. see I understand exactly, which is why they have the unibody tie in brackets, as to make it like a reese hitch mount, however, I still no like that either, but I'm plating the whole frame and will be adding plate to the bottom of the frame rail, and as well will have a full plate cover both frame rails and protecting the gas tank as a intergrated skid, and with that added beef, it will sure to please even you CW.
  17. Well got the rear bumper on, went on easy as hell. very impressed as always with Jcr's Offroads products.
  18. got new rear bumper tonight off to test fit it. :D
  19. looks good. But won't know anything until you test it out. :D
  20. Well ditching the 8.8 plan for the rear, for a D60. Picking up the D60 with it shaved and trussed already and comes with one 35 spline moser shaft 5x5.5, then putting in a full spool and doing a disk brake setup on it. So that's the last major change in the plan.
  21. here are some pics of what I got done before all the BS with the cars, gas tank painted up, stock springs next to new lift springs, and my rock lights for the underside of the jeep.
  22. i know, i try. :D Well got held up due to some stupid car breakage so have yet to get materais for the floors, and school started today, so hopefully get time this weekend.
  23. do you think i should? i had no plans to. I would say so, may be over kill but why not. On my last jeep I added the outside and inner plates on the passengeside and added crushsleeves to it as well to mimck the the steering box side setup. And it is what I\'m doing to the new jeep as well just to have the added beef and less worrying of failure, not much to to do it as far as time or money so why not?
