  1. What condition are your U-joints in the driveshaft? Do they freely rotate or do they bind and stick?
  2. I gave up trying to get my E-fan to come on automatically and wired it up (through a new relay) to a switch in the cab.
  3. I'm a lot less sick now that I've mastered the proper anthrax handling techniques. :brows:
  4. I would plan on replacing all the brake lines unless some miracle has occurred. :(
  5. Brakes dragging? U-joint going bad? :dunno:
  6. Dang it, I always get my anthrax and CC stickers mixed up. I'll get your order of anthrax out asap.
  7. Anyone else find a T-4/5 in their truck?
  8. Enjoy! :D Some vids you may have seen before (some of you are in them) but I got distracted while I was looking for something else and couldn't resist posting them. :D. Keep in mind that a couple could be NSFW if you are in a stuck-up office or such. Just keep the volume low. :brows: My apologies if any of them appear twice. I had a little 'puter hiccup halfway through. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/cc6a ... f2ab61.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/36ec ... 77e141.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/bc63 ... f644ef.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/56ce ... 352a45.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/video/4c18 ... 615c2a.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2EkpGTwVVI&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wmxx1wwwwOU
  9. Sweet! :D Maybe someday I'll figure out how to get my videos on the 'puter.
  10. When you guys are searching, don't forget to check the box that says "Search for all terms".
  11. Secure the truck so it can't roll away on you, put the trans in neutral and jack up one of the rear tires. Make a mark on the driveshaft that you can see so you can count it's revolutions and then watch it carefully as you spin the one tire 2 complete revolutions. the number of times the d-shaft spins will tell you the ratio. Just over 4 times would be 4.10, just over 3 times would be 3.07, etc. If it turns out you have a posi in the rear axle, you'll need to jack up both rear tires and do the same thing, but this time only spin the tires around once. Anyone can feel free to correct me if my brain got that backwards at all. :D
  12. Anyone every find a Comanche with a T-4 or T-5 in it? They were used in 84-85 Cherokees and I vaguely remember years ago someone saying they had one in their MJ and I guess I just filed it away as fact in my head and never thought about it again.
  13. A few things come to mind: fuel pump relay, ignition switch, or a fusible link over by the battery.
  14. Everybody please don't let the discussions of Unions get out of hand. That can be a very sticky topic.
  15. The topics are intertwined. In the US we have far more stringent rules for manufacturing and the like (we've got lots o' lawyers). Overseas, well, that can be a problem.
  16. The Comanche Club hats will be made in America. :D
  17. Don't worry, the 3.4L is nothing like the old 2.8 when it comes to performance. If I remember right, it put out 160 hp in the Camaro. What was the 2.8L, 110hp?
  18. Everyone please keep the discussion civil (if that's possible). China has some major problems with oversight and quality control that come from having a corrupt government and an un-empowered work force. But change is on the horizon and I'm hoping for the best here. Maybe all the current problems will convince Americans to put a bit more effort into their purchases, thus forcing the big companies to do the same. It's all about the money unfortunately. :( But the internet and the cell phone are making it harder and harder for the Chinese government to maintain an ignorant and subserviant (sp?) workforce. They just might start to unionize yet (or some form of a union).
  19. You can order them now and pay later. It's not like I'll be charging interest here. :D
  20. It's a different transmission, but my old Peugeot would get difficult to shift when the fluid level was low (which happened every month due to the leak).
  21. We have enough hats to place an order (56 at this point in time). I'm just giving everyone else another week and expect to put the order in on the 17th. PM me your stuff. There's no hurry on payment.
  22. If it hasn't been stickered, then maybe it'd be ok. Have you asked the truck yet if it minds?
  23. Double priming? I'm not familiar with this term. :hmm:
  24. There's really not much that you can yank out for any benefit. To me, dropping emissions testing means the most if my truck wasn't quite passing the sniffer test (oh, and paying for the stupid tests). I live in Michigan (haven't had any testing for years) and the only thing any of my trucks are missing is the cat on 2 of them (bought them like that). But somehow I doubt any of the Jeeps would pass a sniffer test with flying colors.
