  1. For what it's worth, I tend to use 800 for important shots (whether artistic or informational) and 600 for everything else.
  2. A local alternative to the EU side lights are trailer running lights. I picked myself up a set at Napa. And they had fancier ones too.
  3. I wouldn't worry too much about it. They can easily be swapped out for a different set of seats or adjusted (with some fab work) if they aren't quite right for you.
  4. Due to AMC using the GM 2.8L engine, the 2.5L has some odd GM characteristics, the starter and bellhousing bolt pattern are a couple.
  5. It's not a typical swap, so I have to imagine it all depends on how the install was completed. You might need to sit in it to know for sure.

    Cheap speakers

Anything is better than the 20 year old factory junk, but for what it's worth I prefer to avoid paper speakers.
  7. Simply copy the "IMG code" address located under the pics and paste it here.
  8. Too lazy. I just deleted all the posts above it and made it a sticky.
  9. I'm on permanent vacation! :D Also called being unemployed. Or as I like to call it, temporary early retirement. 8) And if aemsee is referring to my truck (the red one in the water), I put the grille on upside down on purpose, just to be different. :D
  10. Did you leave a CC card behind? :brows:
  11. car-part.com shows the hub, rotor and calipers interchangeable between the years. I'll be back in town on Tuesday. Gimme a call if you haven't resoled the issue and I'll swing by to check it out.
  12. And yet I had 30s on my 2wd MJ and one day it started spitting out ring gear teeth. :dunno: It's really a hit or miss kinda deal. Just be prepared.
  13. Don't forget that the XJ axle needs the perches to be moved inboard a bit to match the MJ.
  14. Or start looking into that Explorer 8.8 swap. Disk, 4.10s and (practically) unbreakable axle are pretty tempting. :brows:
  15. Go on ebay and search for dealership brochures. Lots of good reading material there. :D
  16. Dakota packs are typically used to lift XJs 3-4". But they'll never lift an MJ 4" since Dakota and MJ leaf packs have about the same arch. XJ leafs are pretty flat. MJ leafs have a lot of arch in them already. You can use MJ leafs to give XJs 3-4" of lift.
  17. In more ways than one... But my flight doesn't leave til tomorrow evening.
  18. So, if you 2 are finished fingering each other, I'm curious if JT clicked on the links. Is it the slideshow format he's not thrilled with?
  19. If the 8.8 is out of an Explorer, then it should have 31 splines according to the Explorer enthusiasts . Ranger axles had the lesser spline count, but then they were narrower too.
  20. Sweet truck for sure. But just an ok picture. Next time, turn the tuck around so that the sun will be behind you while you're shooting. And try to keep the basketball hoops from growing out of the hood. :D I went ahead and chopped it out for your avatar.
  21. Or you can use the Ford radius arms and build your own crossmember. It's been done. :D
  22. If you've got a digital image you'd like in your avatar, just email it to me and I'll take care of the rest. :D petermontie@hotmail.com
  23. The Dakar rally is an insane offroad race through the deserts of north eastern Africa. At least it used to be. They canceled this past year due to threats of violence against the contestants. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dakar_Rally It's the one where they race the big trucks.
  24. Rocker guards, rocker guards, rocker guards... Although even I manage to damage mine before the guards went in.
  25. So it is still happening. :( Do yourself a big favor and copy every lengthy or complicated post to Word or Notebook before posting, just in case. There was a time I had to do that with emails through hotmail because for no particular reason (that I could determine) the program would crash and when I hit "back" all my words were gone.
