Too bad there isn't an MJ on the initial list. :( http://wpchryslermuseum.org/assets/atta ... _14_09.pdf

tailgate was in ok shape (went with the bed). bumper was bent (a common factory option). front end was in good shape. mostly just clearcoat issues. I didn't get back today but hope to go out again tomorrow (lookin' for stuff that I can resell).
  4. Pat is still under "probation". Last I heard, he still has one outstanding debt.

In Michigan. Would have been in the top 5% of all MJs in michigan. :fs1:
  6. I seem to remember someone mentioning that the early HOs were unique. Some where in this article should be the measurements for the renix pilot bushings: http://www.jeeptech.com/convtrans/ax15swap.html
  7. have you tried the pilot bushing from a mid 70s Cj with the 304/stick?

I don't have an image of the truck because I took the camera with me without checking to see if there was a battery in it. :dunno: Didn't realize i had to do that since there are 2 batteries, one to use and one to charge, but anyways... use your imagination to picture a black 89 Eliminator, 98% rust free that had clearly been treated well during its lifetime (up til that last day of course). I hope their new car is a complete lemon (my thoughts are edited to maintain a family friendly atmosphere). :fs1: I tried to buy the truck as a whole, but failing that I managed to score these goodies. all of them in excellent shape. And I grudgingly helped a guy remove the bed and one of the doors. seats were already gone.
  9. What?! how can you be the hardest drinking member? I've never seen a photo of you with a Bud Light Lime. :D
  10. it's an 8.25. the photo hides the give-away items, but they are there. the relatively flat upper edge of the cover, the rolled lip around the edge of the cover, and the flat spot on the lower edge of the housing (the lip is disguised by some dirt). the original post's photo: An 8.25: A dana 35:
  11. Are you looking to replace the bolts? the nuts? or the size of the wrench that would remove them?
  12. yup.
  13. "structural" may be taking it a bit too far (it's not likely to save your noggin in a rollover), but it does indeed have an extra bracket that attaches the bar to the frame. Very rare.
  14. Thanks everybody for tha friendly welcome. Lookin foreward to meeting more MJ owners. don't guess this is tha right place to start a thread about my MJ so I'm gonna move to tha projects page. See ya there. Robert Just a quick explanation of the different forums: Tech: Questions from an owner asked to the club about a particular MJ tech issue they are having Projects: A place for owners to blog about their trucks and for the rest of the club to ask questions about that truck. The more photos, the better. :D We're suckers for MJ photos. Pub: just about anything that doesn't go in the other forums. This includes intro threads like this one, Tech questions that aren't about MJs, comments about the weather, etc. DIY forum: for specific step-by-step tech writeups that members have done Wheeling/meeting forums: A place to coordinate get-togethers.
  15. Did you take the rollbar out? looks like the lights don't quite clear the cab.
  16. Aside from it being a Ford? :D Looks pretty good. How's the rust?

  18. Would that have been allowed back in the day? Are today's rules different? Or is just a matter of different classes allowing different changes to be made?
  19. Jeep used to carry a GL3 fluid specifically for the AX-15. They discontinued it and now say that 10w30 is what you should put in it. After all the problems early on, I gotta imagine they were careful about it. Also, for the short time I drove the 90, everything worked just fine. The shifting was much improved, but then the oil that came out was pretty nasty.
  20. Yup, I concur. Yet Chrysler says that the engine oil is fine in this particular trans. I went with full synthetic 10w30 in my 90 AX-15.
  21. Make sure you isolate and fix the water leak before putting down the carpet.
  22. It still looks that good. :D :peek:
  23. Quick! run away while you have the chance! :D At the very least, I guess you'll have a bit more time for the MJ. That's how my 88 got built.
  24. Good point. My 88 is not routed in the stock fashion so I didn't realize that.
