  1. nothing right in Richmond, but there's wheeling farther out west of here..Shoe Creek, Oak Ridge, Crozet, etc. Jerry and I might be doing a small run next weekend or the one after, let's try to put something together
  2. I'm currently up in PA for the holiday, leaving back for VA tomorrow morning. Might get it on tomorrow afternoon depending on when we get home. If not, I'll do it on Thursday, and post up the results. Jeff
  3. mine are on schedule for delivery today, at the family house up in PA. I won't get to see them until tomorrow night  Jeff
  4. if it's a pain don't worry about it....MJ's show up here in my yards every once in awhile
  5. Pete, Did it still have the fuel pump/sending unit assembly in it, and if yes, was it in decent condition? I could use a spare.... Jeff
  6. twist and pull the diapragm thingy....the shaft is attached to the inside of it. It will pull the shaft from the housing. Jeff
  7. where are you in Chesterfield? I'm down in Chester, off Happy Hill Road. Tjbliley (Jerry) is up in Richmond.....we need a meet and greet. Jeff
  8. yeah, different part numbers +/- 1996 per the parts place. I'll pick up the different one in the morning. Just spent the last 2 hours leafblowing....time for din-din and some brew... Thanky! Jeff

270, and I495 (inner and outer loop) around DC is a disaster, no two ways around it. I avoid them at all costs....sorry you found out the hard way. If you ever have to travel that way again, hit me backchannel...there's a couple alternatives depending on where you're going. Merry Christmas! Jeff
  10. I got the brand new *cough* 'spensive FelPro gasket when I did the rebuild. Not sure on the part #, but it is the molded blue rubber one with the metal reinforcements around the bolt holes... edit: this one... Image Not Found
  11. Don (or anyone), is there any reason a later model VC wouldn’t work on the Renix head? I picked up this one at the ‘yard today off a ’97….it’s practically brand new. I’m gonna try to fit it up tomorrow and see what happens. If it doesn’t work, I’m only out $3 :D Jeff Image Not Found Notice, there are no towers inside…..there’s a baffle that runs across the top. That oughta stop any oil from getting sucked out (I hope, anyway….) Image Not Found
  12. yer a bit late Don.....I'm into my 7th Bud Light already, left work @ 1615 hrs. (It's been a long week.....) Cheers  Jeff
  13. asked of the man with the chrome winshield washer resivoir cap  ;) Jeff
  14. either spacers or two different sets of aftermarket wheels with different offsets....I hate the width difference myself as well. Stoopid, I say.... Jeff
  15. I had two weldnuts that were stripped on mine. I ended up drilling straight thru the other side of the framerail and adding a longer bolt with a fender washer and nut on the other side. Had to use a right angle drill because the rear quaterpanels are too close to use a regular drill. Jeff
  16. I won't say that my gauge is anywhere near accurate, but at least it gives me a general idea of how much is in the tank  Mine's not a DD anymore, and I pretty much drive it by the odometer (fill it around 125-150 miles or so). Jeff
  17. That's what I'm doing....I'm running an HO pump assembly from a longbed in my Renix. Just gotta remember that "empty" = full tank, and visa versa ;) Jeff
  18. Thanks Pat. As usual, I'll bring the beer, and I still have that box of rods for you from when we did the perches. My wife just bought me a set of DB's for Christmas....but she doesn't know it yet  $156 and change with shipping. Jeff
  19. no link, just found out at a local club gathering last weekend (MPJAI). Give Pat a shout, he knows the guy.......
  20. no, that would be plug and play

  22. There's a twitchy little fella down in Tidewater that has a whole XJ he needs gotten rid of for cheap/free. Only problem is that he wants 7/8ths of the stuff he bolted onto it, like all the engine accessories, full front suspension, and probably more. The deal is you get an AX15 out of it along with a 4.0 that has a spun bearing, and an XJ shell to deal with, somehow :clapping: Oh, and you have to go pick it up and haul it back to your place to dismantle it......and he's not willing to pay for gas. Jeff
  23. go to the RC website...they're having "deal of the day" specials. The DB's are one of today's specials. http://www.roughcountry.com/deal_a_day.html I might just go ahead and buy myself a set for Christmas  Jeff
  24. Anyone running them? Do they fit MJ's? are they any good? I really need longarms...but they're running a special on DB's for $129.....thinking about a set to run until I get up the $$$ for LA's. TIA, Jeff
  25. Sean, The 'yards down here in Richmond charge $99 + core for trannies and TC's. 98% of XJ's that come in are AW4/4.0's but they do get the occasional AX15. Speaking for myself, if I were buying either without having to remove them from the donor vehicle (like I would have to in the 'yard), I'd add $25-50 each for not having to drop them myself......depending on condition, I'd say $300 for the pair is fair in this neck 'o the woods  Jeff
