  2. Super magunda Pare! You have done a great job on the Eliminator Joe, and I love the black. Something about a clean black truck that looks better than any other color. You are a credit to the forum and we're lucky to have you mate. Now, crawl under there and fix the load sensing valve arm, then open the hood and get that 99 intake on. :clapping:
  3. Threads like this are opinionated, theory, and useless BS unless you confirm and prove before and after data results on the dyno for your performance mods. Y'all know that.
  4. Welcome aboard Chief. Where are you from?
  5. Probably because your NV3550 allows you more wiggle room. The D44 pinion yoke sticks out almost 1" farther (further?) toward the tranny/tcase so the drive shaft will have to be shortened. Unless you do a lift at the same time.
  6. Or use the "thick" ring and pinion gear set. Then you can reuse your 3.54 carrier.

  8. Agree. If you want to cheap out here's a link to do it right: http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoTrackbar.htm I'd never do it. You screw it up and you're screwed. But cheap out if you must.
  9. Here's a list of Lesharo repair centers in the US and Canada. Some of these guys can help you: http://www.lesharo.co.uk/Technical/RepairCenters.pdf
  10. No stampings on the axle tubes? Sometimes it's real hard to see.
  11. WooHaah! Yep, sure can tell that's not an inline six running Bo. It starts too quickly. Congrats mate.
  12. Todo está bien amigo.
  13. :rotf: Oh crap - typo. Actually I'm 6'1", not 6'11". I fit just fine in there. Sorry.......... :brows:
  14. I'm 6'11" and have leg and head room problems with most all vehicles. I had to remove the bucket seat back and use the back cab wall for a backrest for adequate legroom. Also had to get rid of the bucket seat frame and bolt the seat cushion directly to the floor for headroom. But even that wasn't enough because my gourd kept hitting the roof on bumpy roads so I installed a popup sunroof so I could sit up straight. The old gourd gets cold in the winter though so I have to wear a leather hat.
  15. I agree it could be the CPS, Camshaft Position sensor in the distributor. Also called a hall effect sensor or pick-up coil. I had one fail in a 95XJ I had causing the same symptoms. It was toast and misfired causing the fuel system to shut down sporadically. Can't test it, can only be replaced. Also check the codes as mentioned before. Look for a code 11.
  16. Yes, not all have the bung. The last two I bought did. In looking at the ones on Ebay, especially the all-aluminum rads, the bung is there. Just make sure before you buy is all I'm saying. :D
  17. Cumming, GA, $250 HERE
  18. Disagree. Most all XJ/MJ replacement radiators are now truly universal - fit all. Coolant ports for the AW4 are there, the bung hole for the Renix aux fan sensor is there in the left tank, as well as the HO fill port. Just make sure before you buy.
  19. You may be right Johnny regarding the 92 MJs. The correct white plug was there for the Nippon Seiki clock on my 91. It's unclear about the 92s. Maybe someone w. a 92 MJ will chime in. :D
  20. On my old D35 I had to replace the driveshaft as it couldn't be balanced. I got a Tom Woods custom drive shaft with an extended GM front slip yoke and cut it off so I had 1" of slip yoke travel at rest. It worked fine for normal driving until I floored it going up a hill one day which rotated the pinion. The slip yoke slapped hard into the transmission tailpiece a couple of times until I backed off. No damage done, but I shaved about 3/8" more off the slip yoke and it never did it again. So I'd say, yes, I think you need more than 1" of travel, more like 1-3/8" - 1-1/2".
  21. That front passed through here last night late. We got some hail, but nothing of the size that Incommando posted. Still a lot of power outages in some areas from downed power lines left over from the last bout of tornadoes that passed through here. This has been a rough year so far, and probably a lot more to come. :(
