  1. A friend of mine had a 96 Chevy 1500 with the 4.3 v6 sold it still running with 367xxx on it.
  2. I'd probably just go stay with my grandpa about 2 miles from turkey run
  3. If it's in Attica there are a few campgrounds not far that are my old stomping grounds and have nice camp sites
  4. Ill actually be in the Gary Indiana area bout 45 minutes from down town. I'm going up around October 14th.
  5. Its a breather/vent tube for the differential
  6. The 207 I have is out of my 86 mj. I have a 231 but its a 23 spline input. Not to worried about low range because I don't do much heavy off roading. I'm just looking for something that will get me through the winter so I can save up for an ax15 or nv3550
  7. Don't really want to mess with moving the mounts. Want something that's mj ready. Warrior, I'll look into coming out your way.
  8. Get underneath with a pipewrench and turn the linkage on the t-case clockwise so the bar on the t-case is as far forward as it will go. If that makes any sence. Will try to add pictures tomorrow for explanation
  9. I'm looking for a good mj rear axle with a 3.55 ratio. Don't care if its a d35, 44 or 8.25. Prefer limited slip but not a deal breaker if it isn't. Let me know. I'm in Birmingham Alabama but will be headed up to the Chicago area in a couple weeks and staying for about 2 months
  10. Before anyone gives me the ax15 or nv3550 speech I'd just like to point out that I know they are better options. But I'm on a budget and the only thing I need for my 4x4 swap now is a trans. I found a ba10/5 with just under 100k on it out of a yj with the 4.2. I also have an np207 t-case with 107k on it with the same spline count. I've read that the ba10s came with either 207s or 231s. Will this work behind my 4.0? Id really like to get my 4x4 swap done before winter.
  11. Lol. Its cool. I thought it was funny
  12. Should all work. Only thing idk about is the cross member and the CPs on the bellhousing
  13. If you can get the bottom rubber off it makes it a lot easier because you can see down inside the door and a coat hanger will work. Otherwise you could give $35 plus shipping and I'll send you a window for the door ;)
  14. I've been parting out my 86 xls and I need to get the rear slider out so I can take it to have it put into my 88. Any ideas on how to take it out without breaking it?
  15. Any picks of that?
  16. What cross member did you use?
  17. If I decide to keep it ill probably do something similar to black betty. 5.9 magnum v8, with the older h.o dash. Don't know about trans yet. With that big of a motor in a small truck I'd want a stick but at the same time I wouldn't mind an automatic
  18. Why would I ruin my Comanche with a Chevy drivetrain? Lol
  19. I've got one for my 88. Trying to figure out what to do with the 86 chassis I have. Scoping out ideas right now. I don't have the heart to roll it over the scales
  20. Well I was planning a zj v8 engine transplant
  21. Anyone ever put a zj dash in an mj?
  22. Um no lol. My 88 is the restore to an as original 4x4
  23. After this week I will have an 86 long bed chassis stripped down to nothing. What should I do with it? I'm thinking its a perfect candidate for a 5.9 zj v8 transplant and 97+ xj interior. or any xj interior really. Any thoughts or opinions? I gotta do something with it because I don't have the heart to roll it over the scales.
