  1. Mr. hornbrod has a chart on post 7 with all the part numbers for mounting. The bracket is: 5200 3927
  2. Not in the XJs and MJs, but wrangler 231s are clocked differently. Edit: mid 89 and before had different splines between the t-case and tranny for the peugeot, and I'm sure for the aw4 also.
  3. That shift cable looks like it'd work, though a bit pricey. Thanks for the link. I've been to 8 junkyards across 3 states, none of which have these parts. Wasn't production of all these parts halted in 2001 with the last year of the XJ? How is it in just 12 years these parts have become so freakin hard to find? haha
  4. Whew man, my eyes are bleeding after reading that one. Caps lock broken?
  5. I searched the part number and this place actually had it: http://www.mopar-parts-dealer.com/parts.htm I was very surprised, however I'm still having trouble finding the tranny side t-case shifter linkage bracket. Anyone have a part number for it?
  6. I took a chance with the TJ bracket pictures above. The pictures that Blue88Comanche posted up top is the bracket you and I need. Any chance you remember the website for that mopar wholesaler?
  7. Those 2 holes where the mount goes are quite a bit narrower than the correct bracket, and don't go out as far. I studied it a bit to see if I could modify the mount (drill holes closer together), but the rubber cushion is in the way, and have no way of measuring exactly where the holes need to be until the tranny is IN the truck, which is a bad situation to be in if it really won't work.
  8. No, it won't for those of you wondering. This is the biggest pain in the rear trying to find this thing.
  9. Why is it so many people put the grill on upside down?
  10. Is it bad that my MJ isn't good in the city OR off road? haha
  11. No problem, hope it works out for ya. And thanks, I appreciate that. The fender flares and cab vents are all black now, it just now crossed my mind to update my picture, haha.
  12. Ah, I see where you may be confused. While the connector is plugged into the TPS, you have to back probe the wires. You can do this by getting 3 thin pieces of metal (I used paper clips) and push them up the back of the connector, making sure they are touching metal. This explains it pretty well: http://comancheclub.com/topic/38612-very-high-idle/?p=388717
  13. To adjust the TPS, look for the two torx screws above and below the connector. Loosen both of them, but not so much that the TPS flops around. Twist it clockwise or counterclockwise with your voltmeter on to get the desired reading, than very carefully tighten the screws. By carefully, I mean that even the smallest movement will throw it off. I wouldn't blame anything on the IAC just yet, not until you have the TPS properly adjusted. I can imagine after being revved the engine might quit if the fuel delivery is a bit off.
  14. I don't think anyone thinks this looks good, rather they like it because it's an eye catcher. y'know, attention whores.
  15. That was quite the head start it was given. This is incredible, why is it mine slugs like a 2.5? haha
  16. I can't find a diagram, but here are a few reference pictures: 2WD High: 4WD High: 4WD Low:
  17. The cheap bastard couldn't even include shipping...
  18. Thanks for the help, I'll rip things apart tomorrow. I'm not expecting any miracles with the vent, but it definitely shouldn't be hot when it's 20 degrees outside, haha.
  19. So, it should only be pulling outside air while venting, and doesn't go through the heater core. Now I'm just confused, because even with cold weather, if I use vent, it'll just blow hot air. If i put the heater on, though, it blows much hotter air. Maybe somethings stuck? I don't have a mental image of how this system works.
  20. Well, reading my first post over again, I can see I worded it wrong. I don't have air conditioning at all, I was just telling a scenario I'm going through, sorry about that, haha. The problem lies in the actual vent position on the selector on a non a/c MJ. With vent on and the slider in the blue, it blows hot air.
  21. I have no air conditioning, and when it rains the windows stay up. In the summertime, with no airflow you can imagine the cab gets hot and muggy. When I try to turn my vent on, nothing but heat comes out. I'm thinking my heater box (or whatever it's called) might be stuck open, which is why the hot/cold slider doesn't work for vent, however it does work for the heater. Any idea what my problem might be?
  22. From a 4 door cherokee, they fit just fine. 2 door is a no go. Later years I think need updated hinges, not 100% on that. Might need another wiring harness to get the windows and locks to work. Gauge cluster swap is as easy as pulling the old cluster, plugging the new one up and changing the coolant and oil senders.
  23. I appreciate you posting that picture. Just wanna bump this up again to see if it will work.
