If you have all the drivetrain allready and have the fab skills I would go with the 4.3. I am also looking to put a 4.3 in mine in place of the tired 2.5.

aftermarket exhaust setups?

I did mine by going strait out the rear on both sides of licence plate. I made a rear bumper and had a cage made around the licence plate and stuck the exause trough the openings on each side of the plate. Keeps them nice and protected against the rocks and trees that try to crush them. -
Making a hood shouldn't be a proablem. Just didnt know what people had used on theirs what looked good on it?

In august i'll be going out to school basicly to learn how to build high performance trucks and hot rods. Now my teachers have told me to bring out my comanche with my ideas and we are gona build it up (on my budget) in my classes. I just got a 4.3 chevy that will be going in it with an S10 5spd. Now my aunt just replaced the surpercharger on her 3.8 grand am because she thought it made a noise? Ive been told that with some custom plates we can mount this up on the 4.3 for my comanche :brows: . So does anyone have any cool ideas on cowl hoods or hood ideas because with all this it put my air filter through the hood?

the issuzu rear is also disk brake and allot of them came with a possi :brows: I was thinking about it for mine untill I got a 9"

Yeah haha belive me they are not fun. you can just do it as if you were doing an axle shaft and just do one at a time. Getting them out you don't have to worrie about your u joints so just go ahead and beat those out and press the new ones in. I just did mine and once you break it down and do them one by one its not to bad. -
Is the special bolt situation the same between the 4.0 and the 2.5? I just put mine in with a standard bolt and works fine? Should i replace this?

Ive done something sort of like ibby. I took a universal intake tube from Autozone (10 bucks) and a power max cone filter (like 20 bucks) took the universal exaust hanger and cut it down and flipped it and just put the hose clamp for the filter on the end of it to hold it there. Works great and was pretty cheap. Much better throttle response allitle better mileage like 1 mpg and a much deeper exaust note. -
I'm thinking about goin about 2 inches taller so it would bring it to 7.5 inches of lift but I'm putting in a waggy front axle and a bronco 9" with 33 12.s's on 10inch weheels and around here they have to be coverd to be leagle

Not to hi jack this forum but doe anyone know where you can get rear MJ flares? I'm gona need some pretty wide ones quickly here and I can't find any?

A YJ axle should work but you will need to make your axle brakets to have it bolt up as the MJ is a coil sprung front end and the YJ is leaf spring. But other than that it should work. I don't know about a ZJ but they were still dana 30s and coil sprung but I don't know if it will bolt up you may need to change the suspention mounts. -

Haha wow i can't even belive I asked that. Sorry didnt think that through. Well proablem should be solved i just went and order a new one that will be in monday for an 86 2.5 manual comanche. it was only 60 bucks so wasnt a big deal in the end. -

yeah i do plan on ussing the old injection system. i do have the multi port that came with the new motor but origionaly i was planiing on ussing the old injection system. Would I have to change this to get it to run right? -

The motor was origionaly on this tranny anyway. I blew the motor and found this combo real cheap. So all that should be fine and i do have the flywheel from the setup and its being surfaced now. -
Hi I am looking to swap my auto out on my 86 2.5 4wd to a 5spd Ax5 from a '95 wrangler. I already have all the clutch parts including the external slave master and everything all new. I didnt know if anyone had done this sort of swap before and what i should watch out for? i got a diffrent shifter for it from a cherokee with a Ax5. I was just wondering what I should watch for when doing this and if the cross member will fit for the swap? Thanks

Will 30s look too small with 1-2" lift? Pics?

It should look perfect with 30's under it. I personaly like the look of the tire filling up some space in the wheel well but that should look just right. here's mine with 5.5"s of lift on 31's -
