  1. Yes, that is correct. I do have an 8.8 already setup with 4:56 gears for sale BTW. Little far of a drive for you though. :brows:
  2. Aside from the faded paint it's in really great shape. No rust whatsoever. Interior is great. Body is strait. Very nice lift on it with adjustable control arms and track bar.
  3. Guess the new owner decided to sell it. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/4183306913.html
  4. it sounds to me like the price really does not matter as log as repairs or body work does not exceed $500... but i haven't read your attached link yet The vehicle itself has to have an established value of $500. Which can be done with the ads.
  5. I wouldn't condone that kind of thing...But what I don't know...
  6. Me and a couple friends want to build a MJ and enter it in an endurance race series. In order to get the MJ eligible we need to submit 10 for sale ads from Craigslist for an '89 MJ six cylinder for $500 or less. I have copied the actual rule below. So if anyone could give us a hand finding the ads to get the MJ approved we would be really grateful. If we do get it approved we promise to chronicle the build and subsequent race results here on Comanche Club. Here is a link to some info on the race series. http://www.chumpcar.com/index.php 2.3.3.1.4. Ten (10) “Craig’s List” advertisements for vehicles matching your car (including the exact same make, model, year and options) must be provided. All ads must represent cars in street legal, licenses, running and safe condition… without the need for more than $500 in body work or repair.)
  7. Sold it yesterday. Bought a tow rig. Hate to see go. It is a really nice MJ. But now I can concentrate on the building the '86.
  8. I had the same idea, using the univeral Yota sliders. I can't wait to see pics of them mounted.
  9. Has anyone done a 95-96 XJ booster swap on an '86 model? I know the firewall is slightly different on the '86. Is anything else different? I did the swap on my '88 and it was pretty strait forward.
  10. Do you have fuel in the rail after attempting to start? A friend of mine had a similar problem. He crossed his feed and return lines from the tank to the fuel rail. The feed should be the one on the back of the rail and the return on the front.
  11. Any tips on the harmonic balancer replacement? Did you replace the seal as well? I need to do mine soon.

    Crappy Timing

How is it that both of my Jeeps managed to develop issues at the same time? What are the chances? I drove the MJ to my friend's house yesterday to help him work on his MJ and it started making a very annoying noise. Looks like the harmonic balancer is starting to separate. Plus the high idle when warm has started back. :fs1: Then this morning I was spooling the cable back onto the winch on my TJ and noticed antifreeze dripping down from the water pump area. Can't tell if it's coming from the thermostat housing or water pump. The really crappy part is I have certification test in two weeks I need to study for and don't have time to fix either... Good thing neither is my daily driver.
  13. No he didn't give me a price. Wanted to discuss it. But he did say he would break up the set.
  14. The interest was probably me. I sent him an email about a month ago asking if he would sell just the door panels. I found some that worked better for me though. He has had those posted and re-posted for months.
  15. This is what I use to remove decals, pinstripes, tree sap from paint. Works great. Just make sure you keep it moving and don't let it burn the paint.
  16. Did you bleed the system correctly? Including bench bleeding the master cylinder.
  17. After seeing this truck in person last week i'm officially jealous.
  18. How do you like the 4.10 gears with the 33s?
  19. The Rubicon 44 front is low pinion and uses a 1330 yoke.
  20. I don't think the TJ air locker will work in the JK. $1250 is too much for an used Rubicon 44 front. It will bolt up in place of the 30, except for the driveshaft.
  21. Thanks man! You're awesome. Don't want to give the cops a reason to pull me over.
  22. I'll PM you my info. I have the socket with the bulb. I need the housing with lens and the c-clip that holds it in. If you mean the square black rubber/plastic trim piece that is screwed into the bumper my truck didn't come with those. I don't have any YJ Wrangler parts. That is one of the few Jeep models I have never owned.
  23. Zip code 30534. I don't have any extra grab handle screw covers.
  24. I need one tag light housing for my '88. It's the black, square shaped type.
  25. I'm not really sure why this one was scrapped. It has a couple dents, but it's not wrecked. The transfer case shifter wouldn't budge, maybe the transfer case it shot. I forgot to mention that it has the turbine wheels.
