  1. Also, the adjusting collar on your drag link is almost all the way in. You have alot of room left to adjust.
  2. If it was mine this is what I would do. Keep the Iron Rock track bar and drop bracket. Lose the Crown 2.5-3 drop pitman. Grab a pitman arm off a ZJ box and run it instead. It has about a 1 inch drop. Also if you can find a V8 ZJ grab the steering box and drag link and tie rod as well. They are much better parts than the MJs and are bolt in. You want your drag link and track bar at the same angle. If you have a 2.5-3 inch drop pitman and a 3/4 drop track bar mount I don't see them at the same angle.

    77,500 original miles.
  4. You are correct. Traced the wires out last night.
  5. Thanks guys. Got it connected back where it goes last night.
  6. Yeah, my daughter is 6 and fits in the middle of the bench just fine. I'll have to figure out a cup holder. Three across on the bench can get a little tight at times; I regularly run my slender 14 year old daughter in the middle and my 17 year old daughter in the passenger seat to school in the mornings but its pretty much shoulder to shoulder. Legroom is a challenge at times too, being a floor shift and when they have full backpacks that they are too lazy to put in the covered bed. Oh well. Yeah, I definitely wouldn't do it for any long trips.
  7. That is possible. It does have AC.
  8. It's spliced in on the passenger fender where the factory fuel pump and other relays are. I haven't had a chance to look at it too closely, but my guess is one of the factory relay sockets was bad so they just used vampire taps on the factory wires to splice in a replacement.
  9. Man that was fast! Thanks, i'll look for it when I get home.
  10. Can someone tell me where the vacuum line attached to B in the drawing below goes? Mine is just hanging. The EGR Solenoid is right beside the ballast resistor next to the airbox.
  11. I found two vacuum hoses that are disconnected and an extra relay spliced in for some reason under the hood. The PO tried to remove the cat and install a muffler himself using a stick welder. Plus the fuel pump needs replacing. Other than that the truck is in excellent shape.
  12. Have you figured this out yet?
  13. Both of them are stopping at the same point, but it's not a hard stop like it's hitting a metal stop. Both trucks had a good bit of trash under the seat when I got them. I'll remove the seat this weekend and see what's up.
  14. Yeah, my daughter is 6 and fits in the middle of the bench just fine. I'll have to figure out a cup holder.
  15. Could be the shifter is not adjusted correctly and isn't letting it all the way into 4WH. Did you take it out of gear when you tried to put it into 4WD?
  16. All the small trucks i've had in the past Ranger, S10, etc. would go back all the way. I had plenty of leg room in those trucks. To me the 3 inches would be worth it. Being comfortable driving would be worth a little modification if that's what it will take.
  17. On both my '86 and '88 models the bench seat will not go back as far as i'd like. I still have about 3 inches between the back of the seat and the rear panel. Has anyone found a way to make them go back farther? I'm 6'2 and could use a little more legroom.
  18. I use Photobucket. It's free. Get an account. Upload the pics from your computer. Once the pics are on Photobucket when you click on one of your pics you'll see a couple options off to the side. Copy the IMG code and paste it into your reply.
  19. Did I mention it has air conditioning
  20. It's strange how these things seem to multiply. I was looking for Comanche parts on Craigslist over the weekend when I came across a very vague ad. jeep truck - $2500 (cumming )great truck come drive it home 77 thousand original miles 4.0 motor call xxx-xxxx for pics _ill trade for vw bus or baja So of course I had to call the guy and find out more. Turns out he inherited an '88 Comanche from his Grandfather who bought it new. It has a great running 4.0 with an AW4 and a strait, rust free body. The truck is stock and unmolested. I managed to talk him down on his price and drove it home.
  21. What engine and transmission do you have? We will need to know that for the 4x4 conversion parts.
  22. It's a 4 cylinder so don't be afraid to rev it a little higher. What gear ratio are you running?
  23. So it goes into the 1st and 2nd position but doesn't engage the gears? I've never had one do that. Let us know what you find. Off topic, but it looks like we run about the same setup aside from tire size. How are the 35s with 4.88s?
  24. I bought a Vista Pro from Rock Auto last month and it's already leaking around the top crimp. If you have a radiator shop in your area i'd see how much they would charge to rebuild your stock one.
