  1. Nice! What steering setup is that?
  2. They are Creepy Crawlers. I wanted Trepadors, but they don't make a 37 for a 15" rim. Willy Wow! Aren't those things like $400 a piece? I wish they still made the MTRs in a 37x12.50x15.
  3. Have you done anything to beef up the unibody? That tube looks twice as thick as a TJ or JK Dana 44. I need to find one of those housings for my MJ.
  4. Do you still have the Brat seats? Those things are getting really hard to find.
  5. Not a lot has changed since my last post. :dunno: But, I have been collecting parts for it. I have a complete power steering setup. An almost complete grey interior. Some nice, lightweight aluminum wheels. Upper arms for a RE long arm. New front shocks. New RE 5.5 front springs. A NP231 transfer case. The good news is I have a tow rig now so I can go all out on this one! My current plan is to buy the rest of the RE long arm parts. Build a new HP 30 front with beefed up steering. Bob the bed. Add a cage. Buy some 35 inch tires and get it on the trails.
  6. I have had several iphones over the years and have never really been totally happy with them. They seem to be great for music and apps, but suck as a phone. About 6 months ago my work iphone came up for renewal and I decided to try my first Android phone. I read several reviews and decided I really liked the Moto X. It had a really three really cool features that sold me. The first is built in noise cancelling. The second is the feature that detects when you are driving and can reply to texts that you are driving and can also read texts aloud and respond. The third is an app that ties to the calendar and can automatically silence the ringer and send replies when you are in a meeting. So far all the features have worked as advertised and i'm really happy. Not to mention it's not as fragile as an Apple device. I don't have a case on it and have dropped it several times without any problems. The music player is great, the built in speakers are much loader and clearer than my wife's iphone 5s.
  7. Great find. Aside from the engine issue it looks to be in great shape. The original black interior is awesome.
  8. It has AC, but no power steering?
  9. The crappy part is even if you get an accurate measurement the springs you buy may not give the lift they advertise.
  10. I don't see control arm bushings/joints on your list. Have you checked them? I had Rusty's arms on my TJ and on two of them the bushings broke loose and shifted the arms so the were rubbing the control arm mounts. Needless to say the control arms rubbing the mounts caused some wicked vibrations.
  11. The factory 4wd leafs in a spring over match a Rubicon Express 5.5 front spring almost perfectly. But heavy bumpers and worn out springs can change things.
  12. I'm really enjoying the bobbed bed and 35s. No, I don't get high centered often. That is both because of the long arm kit I have and the terrain I wheel. I've got very little that hangs below the unirails and it is almost completely smooth. Willy Looking at your pictures the terrain you wheel looks similar to the North GA mountain area I wheel in. Aside from the GA red clay we have to content with. How is your doubler holding up? I'm trying to decide if I want to double NP231 to NP231 or NP231 to flipped Dana 300.
  13. I'm trying to decide on tire size for my MJ. How well are the 35s working with the bobbed longbed? Do you get high centered often?
  14. From the little I can see in the pics that intake tube doesn't look stock. What are you using for the intake?
  15. Check the transmission mount.
  16. On one of mine the bushing shifted so far out to one side that the control arm was touching the control arm bracket. Needless to say that caused some vibrations and strange noises.
  17. Make sure you keep an eye on the Rusty's lowers. Two of the bushings came apart on mine.
  18. That is a Valley hitch I believe...
  19. How do the bars that go down the windshield pillars into the fenders mount?
  20. You can run the standard length RE arms. The crossmember and arm mounts are separate pieces. The crossmember has several sets of holes and slots to accommodate the different transmission mount locations.
  21. Rubicon Express just returned my email. They say theirs will work with a 2.5l and AX4 or AX5.
  22. I think the Clayton crossmember could be made to work pretty easily. Looks like I could just weld a section to the front of the Clayton crossmember to support a tranny mount. What do you guys think?
  23. Here is a pic showing a crossmember on a 2.5l AX4 MJ.
  24. AX15s are hard to come by in GA lately. A couple guys on my club's BBS have been looking for one for months. Plus i'm not sure i'm really in danger of killing an AX4 with a stock TBI 2.5l.
  25. Looks like i'll be pulling 60 hour weeks until the end of summer. I just don't have the time. I want to be able to assemble it all in a couple weekends so I have something to wheel this summer. Not to mention my Dad is borrowing my welder until he is finished with his '57 Buick resto.
