I think I saw the Upper cab of an MJ in the movie "Cobra" with Stallone. First half of the move Stallone is driving down the street during the beginning of the weird robot photo shoot, and there is what looks to be a white comanche cab :dunno: .

Good thing the guy in the second video still has the stock sized spare underneth, just in case he needs it for.....someone else with a flat tire  .

360 Fuel Injection Build
pilotblake replied to 360MJDude's topic in MJ Hardcore Tech: Epic Journeys to Greatness
Do you have pictures of the front cross member you built to replace the one you cut out? -
We would go out of our way to hack in a 4bt to our comanches or cherokees, and this guy is taking one that was professionally fabbed in, and tearing it back out. I would buy it just for the platform to drop another 4bt in. :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: :fs1: :fs1:

How and where it is rusting even sitting for 33 years seems off :hmm:

PB works ok for me. The upload right now is different than before, but I have made it work.

They were born on my wifes B-Day, September 29th  . Reegan on the left was born at 5lbs 15oz, and Reece was born at 5lbs 7oz. Next phase to extend the useful life of the Manche is to design a cage for the front and back of the truck to incorporate some seats in the bed. Buy a cherokee they say.........I'm not selling my truck, and when they get older they can hopefully build up their own rigs with alittle help from Dad :brows: .

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!. I know the search is a skill to learn on here, but for all these years I have never fully figured it out. I know it is not the site, and that it is me, but hopefully when a seasoned noob like me keys in some reference to toppers this thread pops up  . -
First my and aabmikes twins, and second the recent doubleing of my family. This isn't the best picture of my boys, but I had my Jeep shirt on so it works  .

Comanche topper picture for reference.
pilotblake replied to pilotblake's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well...yes it was just for reference, but my inspiration for posting was that I remembered coming across a topper thread awhile back, but couldn't find it when searching on here for topper pictures for our trucks. I used the keywords in the title so when future members search it, they might find it. If people want to post up their topper/camper shells on this thread all the better . I love this club, because we all have the same truck, but put our own inspiration into it. If you have a picture of a topper on a comanche by all means post it up. I keep a generator in the back of my truck in case the power goes out in the winter, and was tired of my bed being full of snow. So I am now a seasonal topper owner :dunno: . Now that I have it.....I like it  . -
'87 $375 -----reno ------ i like!
pilotblake replied to shawn's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
And it is in the desert and rust free. Damn midwest winters. That truck rusted out, would go for $1200 here -
I will throw some money in. I also may need a couple more CC decals for my new topper. Pm a price for the decals sometime.

You will have to excuse my lack of details, but I remember an extreme 4x4 show where the guy had a 4 banger toyota with steep gears and kept up with most of the bigger horsepower rigs. If you want a deep rumble and more horsepower drop in a V8, if you want the best bang for your buck as they say, regear.

My cherokee got sugar in the tank in college along with 4 other vehicles right next to it. It eventually fouled up the fuel pump. That was several years ago now, and granted the jeep is now retired to the farm to live out the rest of its days as a run around vehicle, the sugar did no noticeable damage. I don't understand the marble scenario. Would a floating pickup and screen suck up a marble?

I have a good friend and classmate of mine here in the midwest that is a state patrol man/swat team, and is a stand up guy. Even the knot head cops get put in demanding situations, that hopefully make then better people. It is like any job eventually it forces some sense into you :shake: . Having said that, I live in a small town and have some STUPID local cops. Oh the stories to tell

'88 Eliminator... Feb. 2009 - June 2026
pilotblake replied to neohic's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Being an employed "teaching" welder, design a rear bumper to eliminate the rear lower panels on the back of the MJ box and make it tie structurally into the frame. I will build my own, but it may be a good project for your kids. Your truck is looking nice
