Wagoneer xj header panel with a 4th gen Mazda B series bumper
shawn replied to Blood of a Jeep's topic in The Pub
i like this. the zj bumper looks cool but maybe just a touch wide to look really good. on the 3rd pic, it's weird to see the control arms pointing up to the axle. if i ever see another cheap 91 2wd id like to try something like this. -
a guy i know here has changed to cv shafts in his d30. i don't know the details but am guessing theyre from a zj. this sounds like a good mod but i hear the shafts are slightly longer. anyone have any knowledge of this mod?

well here's a third album. maybe it's in there somewhere. http://imgur.com/a/0ocRM

awesome country. thanks for showing it. :)

ive seen these for years but ive never understood their allure. maybe in rattlesnake areas? doesn't the tent part go bad being outside in all weather? i would think a dome tent on the ground would be much more useful, and user friendly during the night :)

so we've not had a chance to see if there's spark yet. hoping that will take place tomorrow. I'm now thinking that if there is spark that would indicate the ecu ( or at least the connections there-of and / or corrosion from sittting for that 1.25 yrs). if there isn't a good spark my limited knowledge would lead me to think coil or some ignition-related thingamagig?

Anyone remove overload leaf to lower after SOA?
shawn replied to Cody Thomason's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i got leaf packs from a 3/4 ton chevy suburban and took every other leaf out of the packs. wound up with about 5" of lift. (but still used the MJ mains). -
well i threw a new cps in and did the grind and cleanup on the firewall ground. put in a good battery now it's back to no-start, just cranks. gonna check spark asap. any chime-in appreciated. there also seems to be a short happening somewhere around the starter motor, although it still cranks fine there have been wisps of smoke ( and thats just on relatively short cranking, like a bout 5 seconds or so ).

throttle-body. also, when it died, the jumper cables were still hooked up from my other truck.

then runs again and does the same thing. sometimes starts again right away and sometimes not for a while. - its my grey '86 2.5 5 spd. it ran fine when i parked it a year and a bit ago. went to start it a couple months ago and it would not turn over. after changing the solenoid on the inner fender and one of the relays it started right up but now it is plagued with this dying issue. I'm trying to pass it on to its new owner and a new member here. when he went to drive it home this suddenly started happening and we're both baffled as to what would cause this. it has gas in it , but now that i think about it the battery is known to be bad and won't hold a charge ( if that could have anything to do with it) any and all help so greatly appreciated. :)

not sure if it's the one that was on here but if it is , the new paint job makes it look even better.

those are very popular up here to carry boats and things. theyre nice because you can use them with or without the canopy. -

i had the same thing and it was 4 bolts ( or 2, can't remember) through a bracket that is on interior side of firewall. the werent even there when i got the grey mj and the whell would easily move about an inch or so left and right. super easy fix.

Back Brakes Not Doing What They Should. 94 Xj
shawn replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
very plausable. thank you. I'm not familiar with the process but will give an adjustment a try. will read-up on it. prop-valve suggestion also makes perfect sense. it's all good in the dry but i recently found out that on wet streets its a completely different story. :( -
you've seen this before, but it's sunday and rainy here so here's a few pics of my mj's for no particular reason. http://imgur.com/a/YRtWF
