Need T/C for 4x4 swap behind an nv3550

Transmission, either you need to redrill the mounting holes to rotate the transfer case down some, or you will need to "modify" your floorboard with a hammer. I hammered the hell out of my floor to get it to clear. -

Is the 04 NV3550 from a TJ or KJ? If its from a TJ it will be clocked differently, than the KJ or XJ units are. -
No. Whats wrong with your power windows in the 99?

I believe either 1996 or 1997 was the first year for the newer style of sender plug, so you would need a sender from an older XJ. -
4 wheel drive High question.

 for a DD yes. I had one in my 00 XJ. It never left full-time from November to April. Wow, sounds like a long $#!&ty winter. -
The consensus in the diesel world that I post on is that #2 dyed is the same as #2 street. This was also the case when we were doing our ISO8178 testing, we went directly to the supplier and asked if the dyed was any different chemically than the regular #2. Needed to know that for our validation tests, otherwise $20k of research would have been blown out the door.

Well that took much less time than I thought, I was thinking I was going to be spending an hour cutting through that tube, but the cutoff wheel sliced through it like butter! Took about 3 minutes total to cut through it, then the axle shaft pulled right out. I had been thinking of cutting through the tube as a last resort, because I figured it would take much longer than it did, but man, I should have done that sooner! Lessen learned I suppose: -
I asked on the Jeep Liberty forum to see if anyone knows. This could be helpful: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15X8-Sat ... 1305wt_888 They want way more for them than what I am willing to pay, but it mentions this style being factory on some older mopars. Ya, but those are listed as 15" Ah right, forgot about that. Guess it didn't occur to me because I'd just as soon have 15s as 16s. 15" won't clear big brakes, or modern brakes, in most cases.

91-01 XJ, granted that you remove the electronic sender and install the mechanical sender. other years of ZJ should work as well, but I am less knowledgeable on those. -
In many places these days Off road diesel comes from the same source as on road diesel, in fact sometimes the driver who will deliver the off road diesel will add the dye to it prior to transfer to indicate the road tax has not been paid.

Never seen the movie, but I can google, sure enough no irvine TX out there. I figured it might be common enough of a city name that there could be one in texas too. Looks like a big FU to irving TX.

Thats what I'm hoping, is that just switching stock for stock I can keep the nice wear pattern. Ya I can imagine yours was harder to pull, that thing was BENT. I think I'm going to try cutting it out tomorrow, grinder and earplug time man. I could have pulled it IF it was a non-disconnect, and I could grab the ears and pull. but I had the problem you're having...could not push from the opposite side with a punch, couldn't get it any other way. grinder will take awhile...you don't have a torch to chop it out? that took only a few minutes... Nope, and I can't justify buying a plasma cutter just for this. I don't have any ears to pull on, since this is a WJ shaft its a CV, so there are no ears to pull, just a splined shaft after I ripped the CV joint off of it. I'm really starting to hate CV's. I can do some neat things with an oxy/acedaline torch that the average joe can easily do with a plasma cutter.... and you can get a small backpack torch fairly cheap. they're extremely nice to have around...love mine, and I can cut as thin as 1/8" wide lines through 1" steel with it, if I take my time and let the torch do the work. just pointing out that a plasma cutter capable of cutting through something as thick as an axle tube really is overkill, and there are cheaper options... Ya, but if I had a plasma cutting I could get a torchmate. -
Nice, seems like the argument that "it was intended for use by passengers" is a valid one in this case.
