  2. The paperback versions are better to take into the can with me. What's the link to your site? I've been there before, but don't remember the URL. I take the laptop with me to the can. :plop: I lost a bunch in my site meltdown, and I'm trying to add them again as I come across them: http://colorado4wheel.com/manuals/
  3. There are options for flipping the transfercase around. Why a 60 and not a 44? The 60 is a BIG axle with a big pumpkin.
  4. Why are you trimming?
  5. I probably could have. I'm no woodworker, though, so the thought of having a DIY kit that just requires some 2x4's, a power drill, chop saw, and plywood was very enticing. Usually when I try to tackle woodworking projects, I wind up getting extremely frustrated because I can never get anything square and I'll give up. This kit made it an absolute breeze. Plus, it came with every screw that I needed plus some hangers for tools, extension cords, and hoses. After all was said and done, I think it was worth it - I think if I tried to do it myself, it wouldn't have come out looking half as nice. As for the manual collection, I don't have much yet. A '92XJ/MJ service manual and a couple of ZJ manuals. Also have a Mopar stroker book and a differential repair book. One day I'll be able to fill the shelf :D Why don't you skip the paper an just put one flash drive with all the PDFs you would ever want up on the shelf? You've seen my website collection of FSMs right?
  6. I disagree, I think there was very little thought. In fact dare I say everything about that "intake" is simply asinine.
  7. Is that just how it looked for taking the photo or is that how its permanently setup?

  9. goo gone is just expensive paint reducer. Acetone works much better for cutting adhesives off.
  10. Don't waste his time if your not interested in buying it.
  11. That's been corporate policy since the early 90's.
  12. You don't build up 2WD axles? Not a bench, durr.
  13. And here I was trying to figure out why you would be building a 2WD axle on a bench.

Not if its been in colorado its whole life.
  15. Just don't plug in those wires then. And for the life of me I can't see why you wouldn't want cruise, even the factory XJs that didn't have it still have the plug in the engine bay, just waiting for someone to plug in a cruise control actuator. Even if you took the time to try and strip those wires out of the bundle of everything else(and to what end I don't know) its not like your removing any weight or simplifying the harness really.
  16. LOL that was pretty good too. I'm looking forward to more parodies already!
  17. Yup, this is what you need to do. Also for the record and anyone who finds this thread later, if you don't use the newer AC mounting bracket then you need to remove the old idler pulley from next to the AC to use the newer tensioner. The newer design is far better.
  18. I don't about you guys, but cracking up over this recent internet fad. So this horrible horrible song by some terrible sounding 13 year old comes out and hits youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD2LRROpph0 WARNING ITS PRETTY BAD, EVEN FOR WHAT IT IS. (I've never made it through the whole song, I get a little further each time before I just have to turn it off) But if you can stomach watching it even for 30 secs it makes these couple of parodies pretty hilarious: I loose it at dolphin and fun fun fun: This one is pretty funny when you start to think about what words would need to be censored:
  19. Youngins man.
  20. That's kinda what I was thinking, 4WD swap too.

My buddy picked this up a week ago, 98 165k 5speed, upcountry, infinity sound, full skids, ABS, but no cruise(WTF?). Owner thought it had a headgasket leak, but rather it was a corroded freeze plug that leaked. The cooling system was a nasty mess, and you could see the freeze plug had heavily corroded in several spots on the inside. Also installed a 99+ intake while everything was out.
