  1. I did one of those awhile back, looks like we took very similar approaches:
  2. Been a while since I wheeled that area, but lots of pretty scenery. I bet it was a very different place then.
  3. To be fair that happens to most people ten years out of high school even if you are competely sober, if you are really unlucky you are saddled with a mortgage, wife, and kids too. Wait......phuck.
  4. Jim I learn something new about you all the time, when were you in Los Alamos? I lived there in the early 90s, strange little town, last time I was there it had changed a lot. Pretty country all around there though, lots of 4 wheeling, native history, and hot springs!
  5. BWAHAHAHAHA
  6. I still maintain alcohol is the "hardest" drug I have ever done. And its also not the only one.
  7. Already live here.
  8. 537 votes is what GW won florida by in 2000. Votes do matter.
  9. Man I wish my garage was insulated, the PO put up sheetrock on one side of the garage......with no insulation behind it. Its drywalled and mudded(barely) with no insulation. I guess I will just have to rip down that sheetrock to insulate it, and put up new sheetrock. Now the problem is there is 6 years worth of crap and a van in the way. Sigh.....a man can dream right?
  10. Thats what I was thinking......something like that I'm sure.
  11. I understand the aesthetics issue of going with 2 singles, I just dislike the single car doors on the garage so much. I'm one of the few in my neighboorhood that has a 2 car door. Besides cost, is there any reason you didn't make it much deeper than you did(already appears to be pretty deep). What is the dimension of the new garage? If you don't mind me asking, what did various major ticket items set you back.....excavating, concrete pouring, etc. It always the things that I just cannot do myself that make projects like this hard for me to pull off.
  12. Any reason you went with two single car garage doors instead of a double on the new addition?
  13. It's easier to bed for forgiveness than ask permission. I also have a nice couch.
  14. Just a short video showing some natural hot springs. This is unique in that most hot springs areas have been developed and very few are "natural" where they are just warm water coming out of the ground. Typically any that have hot water get developed with big pools, hotels, etc so its neat to be able to hike into a hot springs that it basically a natural feature.
  15. Hi everyone! I am out of the forest and currently in DC flying back to CO tomorrow. I have a bunch for stuff to post but until then I put a few panoramas on my website: http://colorado4wheel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=42&p=92#p92
  16. Some text and pics. Later guys. http://colorado4wheel.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=42
  17. That would be the Icon. The silver paint version was on the limiteds in 00 and 01, and the two tone on the classic. The two tone was available on the KJ in colombia and some other version(renengade)?
  18. Yup, my favorite wheel, as evidence by the 20 something wheels I have here.
  19. Yup, I tried WJ unit bearings in the XJ knuckles, which is fine, the problem is once I redrilled the rotors I found out they were too small to fit over the unit bearing hub, and not even close. So I've got a WJ knuckle on there, to use WJ brakes, with the WJ hub. Problem now is that once the hub is all the way in the knuckle something is bound up, but if you loosen it a bit everything is fine. I think this is the shim problem people occur when installing WJ big brakes on XJ's. Trying to decide if I should proceed with this route or not right now. I need one more unit bearing if I'm going this route, and it would use up my WJ parts slated for my yellow XJ big brake kit that I wanted to put on before this winter.(winter tires are load range E and heavy)
  20. I just picked up at set of 2011 JK moabs.......perfect shape for $200 for all 5, what a deal. Only problem is getting them to work with the 5x4.5 XJ I have....... I got an idea about how to do that without using adapters.......teeheehee.
  21. Yup, its rather odd, goto 5x5 on the WJ, WK WK2, JK, XK......but keep the KJ, KK, and MKs 5x4.5.......sigh...
  22. I started putting together a JK guide at one point, but I got side tracked, but yes there will be a JK file, and a WK2 file as well. I would really like to backfill out with the older models too, I started on a YJ guide at one point but also didn't finish it. I would also like to flesh out the individual pages with high quality photos showing each variation mounted on a near stock Jeep. The idea being to give perspective from a stock viewpoint. I would then have one page for a mix match of all different stock wheels on different Jeeps, silverstars on MJs, older XJs, moabs on a MJ, JK saharas on an XJ, etc.
