  1. Anything is possible. Theres no grand cherokee transmission worth adapting to the MJ. The only one that could be worthwhile would be a 545RFE from a new grand cherokee. This will not be an easy or economically feasible thing to do.
  2. What's wrong with aliens :hmm: Dude, you friggin crack me up. Have you ever seen Real Genius with Val Kilmer? You're like Laslo. You just quietly and unpredictably show up out of the closet, make a quick appearance with a comment or two, and then disappear back in to the closet for awhile. Hilarious. Perfect analogy
  3. IIRC TJ coils are 1" shorter than XJ coils...........
  4. Non-reactive with petroleum products IIRC.
  5. As long as its plated mine have no grounds to complain. F*CK 'em.

  7. I'm voting for rick, I think that guy needs it more than any of those girls.
  8. At least for the people that call them "campers" they usually list them as "camper shells" so they still turn up in my searches. Just goes to show you, you should include a few common keywords for what your item might be called to hit all your target buyers.
  9. And by shell you mean Topper :rotfl2: Nice seats. Any other names we can come up with?
  10. I have no idea what "brand" that is. :???: In fact, I'm inclined to guess that it's not aftermarket at all. It almost looks like a "hack-n-tap" using the original yoke. Which I guess would make it just a "tap" since the output shaft doesn't look trimmed. The output housing looks all wrong, the bolts holding it in aren't right. I dunno what that is, never seen anything quite like it. It looks like some kinda bastardized hack n tap.
  11. I always thought the longbed was lamb :shake: Unless, you drag a bunch of stuff around. lamb? I hate lamb.
  12. And for fun:
  13. A good photographer can really make you look like your going fast: http://www.colorado4wheel.com/images/tr ... 8large.jpg
  14. My MJ is in peices, and will be for awhile: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10092&start=120
  15. Too bad your so far away and I am without a way to transport it.
  16. No by shell I mean shell, and by cap you mean shell. Must be a regional thing. Your just a little to far away methinks though. What does your shell look like anyways?
  17. Eh, knowing what I know now if I was doing any axle swap on the front end it would be a 4link. I get that leaf suspensions are easy to setup, but ill be dammed if a 4link isn't so many times better and still very easy to design. Plus with all the companies that offer premade brackets and such all you have to do is sling a welder and do some math.
  18. I know you never mentioned 97+, in fact you failed to mention anything about the year at all. Indeed I did  My bad. :wall: I'll do better next time. :dunce: Anyways, to add to whats already been said. Remove the door panel, then there are two 10mm bolts that hold the bottom of the window metal retaining clip in. And thats all that holds the glass in place, but you'll need to remove the rubber trim and seals around it to get the window out, with all the rubber out of the way you can slid the glass peice out. The older ones are harder to do, if you ever do both you will appreciate the kinks that were worked out on the 97+. Takes about half the time on the 97+.
  19. So I went down to a couple of junkyards today. Found a 88MJ with a pretty nice shell. But it was a shortbed! YARG! Tailgate was dented, so it wasn't any better than mine, and the bumper was some kinda homemade pos. And no hitch, and no Dana 44. Strike out. Oh well, the search for a shell continues. Also went to another junkyard and got the seats out of a 98 5.9(wheels were already gone unfortunatly), and then I got another set of really nice seats out of a 98 ZJ limited, planning on selling one set to cover the purchase price of the ones I will keep. Got four heated leather seats for $84 total!
  20. Different, like everybody else. See, lots of people have done front leaf suspension. You should just do NO suspension, weld the front end to the frame. That'll be different. :agree: But, you know, I'm sure he wouldn't be the first one to do that. No, but he would be more different, like everyone else.
