  1. Do you have the hydro or nitro Skyjackers? I have the nitro's on my TJ and love the way they ride....
  2. When you get older you do...I'm forgetful.
  3. For some reason I am thinking a JK... Rob L. I thought they were doing something with that grey F250 from a while back :dunno: They did have a pretty cool F250 diesel there all done up with the 2009 logos and such...not sure if that was it or not.
  4. Bad ground? Corroded plug connectors? Take the connector apart, clean the plug ends, and add some dielectric grease. If that doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what it could be.
  5. I saw most of the rigs over in Butler, PA on the 4th. The one that I went to see wasn't there. Mel from Off-Road Evolution painted his flat red JK in flat black, and put a huge Hobart sticker on it. Not sure if that was the featured one or not. They had some cool stuff, but nothing to write home about.
  6. I've changed my mind already... Now I'm gonna do IPF housings: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx? ... rtID=11264 With IPF X4 bulbs: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx? ... rtID=14888 Or go the cheap route on bulbs and get these IPCW H4 bulbs: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx? ... rtID=13200 The only nice thing is that I get them pretty cheap... :brows:
  7. Just picked up 4 quarts of Royal Purple Max-Gear 75W-90 for the 4WD AX-15 I have waiting to go in. Had to email the guys from Royal Purple directly to make sure that was what they recommended. We'll see how it does!
  8. This is on my short list!!! Gonna run some Hella Vision Plus lights with it. http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=10181
  9. Pulled 2WD tranny, flywheel, etc. from MJ. Sat it on the garage floor and looked at it intently for about 30 minutes next to 4WD tranny. Stared at heap of hulking rust that was donor 94 XJ and wondered how the hell I'm gonna get it on a trailer this weekend to take it to the scrap yard. :???: :???: :???:
  10. Because most aftermarket ones are junk.
  11. I was just talking to my dad about this last night. He has a buddy that picked up a J truck with a bad tranny. I was hoping he was going to part it out so I could get that killer gate for mine, but it looks like the guy fixed the problem and is gonna sell it whole. Still might go over and look at it just to figure out what it will take to mount it.
  12. Jim, Is that what you are talking about? http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost ... stcount=85
  13. Just got my permit this year. Haven't ridden a bike since I was 12...so its been 21 years. 1968 Triumph TR-6R Trophy 650
  14. Any tips on installing the 97+ center console? I've played with it a few times and just can't figure out how to mount mine. Any info would be greatly appreciated. My MJ is sitting and looking pretty sad right now, and this might motivate me to start working on it again :brows:
  15. It depends on what you buy. Their bumpers are very nice. The rack systems seem a bit weak to me. I don't know about the rockers like you are getting. They demoed their Smuggler bumper at Moab this year, and I wasn't that impressed with it. Seems like the JK's are driving the pricing up a LOT more on aftermarket products now, and Olympic is not excluded from that.
  16. Well...it looks like we don't have any in stock for me to go out and look at. Sorry to waste your time on that. I assume you have contacted Olympic directly? I can only tell you to call them until you get a correct answer, as I don't have a contact there to direct you to. Not sure if we are going to get any in, as it seems that item is a drop-shipped one from us. Sorry
  17. I'm showing 8 parts that are starting with 560...can you tell me what Jeep they fit? I can go in the warehouse and open the box and see if they are correct if you can tell me the exact model that they are for.
  18. I work at 4Wheel Drive Hardware. Perhaps I can help you out. Give me a part number and I'll see what I can do.
  19. I believe 97+ were disc and 31 spline. Pre-97 were 27 spline and drum brakes. Not according the the experts at the explorer forum. all were 31 spline and 95+ are disked. Check it out when you crack it open and let us know what you find. Yep...you are correct. I noted that in my update, but I think it got lost between the pictures.
  20. ##Update## Well...its been quite some time since I updated my project. The old Renix in the MJ must have decided that it like the North Carolina weather more than this last Ohio winter! It started spraying gas from the fuel rail in January, so I parked it for a week or so while I waited for a replacement fuel rail to come in from a guy I bought it from off the net. I replaced the fuel rail, and all the o-rings...that didn't work. Once I figured out that I wasn't going to get it running that well, the snow was gone, and I've been driving the TJ all spring so far. Fired it up a few weeks ago, and now the gas has stopped spraying out of the regulator on the fuel rail??? Any thoughts on this? Anyways...I have started my 4X4 swap. Pulled the donor HP 30 out of the 94 XJ that I have: yes...I know the blocks aren't the best idea...but its all we had at the time. Took off as little as I could from the donor axle so my dad wouldn't get all butt hurt about it :D Also have done some work to the 8.8. Pete was correct in his statement about the earlier 8.8's still having 31 spline carriers...sorry Pete!!! Removing the brackets: Need to clean the housing a little better...I don't think the gear oil was ever changed: Just need to finish grinding them smooth and using the wire wheel on the housing. Going to go with 4.56 gears and no lockers...this thing will just be a DD...(for now :D ) Also have something cool that many of you may not have seen before. It involves seats and brackets...
  21. Yes Pat...I still want the Renix wiring harness. I'm not planning on going to the HO for quite some time, so the Renix harness will be needed now. I have everything from the HO XJ, so I'll just make sure to save all the dash stuff that I have laying around right now. I think once I have everything in a pile, it will look less intimidating than it does now (half-pulled from the XJ) Thanks!
  22. I have a whole 94 XJ donor that I am thinking of doing at some point. Without sounding completely stupid, are the HO and Renix gauges different? The donor XJ didn't have a full gauge cluster, just the basic one. I'd like to retain the full gauges that the Renix MJ has. I have a full wiring harness coming from JeepcoMJ in the next few weeks, so that is going to go in first, I just want to be able to plan on the HO swap at some point.
  23. I was up in Zilli a few weeks ago!!!!
  24. Spidertrax makes an adapter so you can bolt them up...but you will have $200 in them for all 4 wheels.
  25. I ended up swapping out the clutch master with a new one from Crown. Seems to be new, and not a reman. I bled all the old fluid out first using a vacuum pump. Didn't spill more than a drop or two. I got the new MC in, and bled through half a bottle of DOT-5. I had a good, firm pedal, so I figured it was done! I pulled the 25A blower motor fuse link side off the block, and moved it over to where the rear wiper 25A fuse goes. Now I have heat!! Other than no horn, all the rest of the electrical stuff is working fine. The DOT-3 did a real number on the firewall...
