  1. iam no expert but i have put an 8.8 under my truck recently, i basically swapped it in, it bolted in pretty easily. i havent done the brakes yet but iam not using any different master cylinder or prop. valves.. i bypassed the valve on the back and iam just running hard lines pretty much.
  2. oh haha well my truck is legal in texas i just put it on there so i wouldnt get bothered... iam sure not havin one wouldnt have hurt but i didnt wanna chance it, and iam runnin SOA on the 8.8 so iam guessin 7" of lift? or so
  3. haha yea i figured someone would realize my plates haha, i put the front one off the red manche on the black one while i was movin it from my house to a friends so i didnt get messed with.. its off now lol

  6. yea iam goin for leafs up front.. i really don't like coils my experiences with them havent been good so iam hoping leafs will solve this. here's a few pics of the 8.8 under it. Image Not Found Image Not Found the 2 manches Image Not Found
  7. lookin good, iam considering bobbing my sb now... its a trail truck and every little bit helps.. i figure if i don't bob it now.. the rocks will do it for me lol
  8. i got the 8.8 under the truck today..the right way.. lastnight i put it in but the ubolts didnt have nuts so it sat till today till i got new ubolts/nuts, and then had to wallow out the holes on the shock perch off the explorer.. its bolted up and looks really good under the truck i just tried to get a pic but my camera sucks and nothin came out even with flash...
  9. 21..22 this november
  10. oh i see. i may get perches and grind mine a bit as well.. ill figure somethin out
  11. oh ill be running 35-36" SX swampers.. prolly 13.5 or more wide... i like wide tires lol... how much did you grind down on the diff part? did you need a special perch or just any one?
  12. well i decided to go ahead with the build thread its been a long time since ive posted on here and ive done alot to the truck since.. ill try to post back the pics up at the top that arent showing... and get the pics of the motor swap added and tonight i put the 8.8 in the rear.. after it fell on my hand!!! but ill keep the build thread goin ill have pics asap.. EDIT: here's the pics.. of the things ive done to it since the last pic above. after i posted that pic... a few months later i tore that interior out..the black seat you see isnt gonna be used iam puttin the buckets from my red mj in it... Image Not Found the motor blew and i had to get another Image Not Found here's the front dana44 i got for it, i have a 8.8 in the rear and have spacers comin in the mail to go from 5 to 6 lug Image Not Found
  13. dang i don't wanna rub too much, what wheels are you runnin what back spacing? i have 3.75 i think .. hopefully i won't rub much
  14. yep iam doin front leafs with a front 44 but it looks weird since the spring is on the diff.... someone said to shave it but is there another way?
  15. nope its a front 44 offest to the drivers side so it was weird that the diff kinda gets in the way... i don't wanna shave it down if i don't have to
  16. well i took the leafs off the 44 and noticed that the bottom of the housing on the right side is flat on the bottom..for spring under, my sisters husband said he ground down the housing a bit to do spring over but i was wondering would i need to do this or is my comanche's frame wide enough to where i can just have regular perches for a SOA on it? EDIT: i googled a bit and found out i do have to make the housing somehow accept the SOA.. this is gonna be tricky
  17. gees...
  18. i found some spacers for 126 so i guess ill be gettin them, its a 5 on 4.5 spacer to 6 on 5.5 for my 8.8... ill just get new wheels
  19. well i just realized they are not rubicon 4.10s they are just 4.10s for a tj with a rear 44
  20. well ive decided to just run 6 lug wheels, ill get a spacer adapter for my 8.8 so i can run 6 lug wheels on it, is my d44 6 on 4.5?
  21. that would be alot of money lol
  22. hmm are there d44 shafts that i could get that are 5x4.5? i may just make my own spacers, iam tryin to keep the cost down on this project as much as possible
  23. well since i can't redrill the d44 could i redrill the 8.8 to be 6 lug? or should i buck up and pay for spacers that go 5 to 6 lug
  24. dang that really sucks i don't wanna get new wheels and those wheel spacers for 8.8s that turn 5lug to 6 are pricey.
