  1. i have that write up. do you know how it went for him and what he thinks of it? Alex
  2. http://www.summitunlimited.com/ i know you all have seen them before but i think ill just save up for one of these since you can just order them instead of having to cut the frame and everything yourself now. i will wait for the TK version though so they look more like the Gladiator did. since this is where Jeep got the idea from for the look i bet. Alex
  3. i know how ya feel. i have projects out the @$$ and the list for the 91 is not making things any better. lol. Alex
  4. ok i know this is an older post but i was looking into the posi-lock and the cad fix and all that good stuff and came across this post. just wondering how it went, did it come out alright? Alex
  5. Is there a difference between the stock bumper and an FEY one? I bet there is, but i've never seen a stocker up close  i have had both FEY and stock ones and the onel real difference is that the brackets don't line up with the holes on th truck. easy fix though, just drill holes in the bumper brakets and frame so you have one more extra bolt :D . the 91 i am getting off Rob has a hitch on it and it is a shorty. maybe he will know what class and brand it is. Alex
  6. that one is nice, but i could do without the giant round lights. i have used several over the past few years. i am big into art and was planning on going to art school. that fell through but i still take pics every-now-and-then. if you want to see my most recent one click on my link in my signature. the one up front is my 88 Eliminator and the one in the back is my 86 X. it was taken right before i sold my 88 and now my 86 is gone too. Alex
  7. ok sorry about that. i didnt think it was that much. i don't use the kit, i had all the stuff already when i did it. here is all you really need: metal ready por-15 silver and the fiberglass patch just replace the marine clean with soapy water, get some cheap brushes from lowes, then smooth it out with some putty of whatever you want, and be sure to paint over it with primer and paint of whatever brand while it is just a few days old or you have to get one of their tie-coat primer, unless it is just going to be covered by carpet or rhino liner or something then don't bother painting it or smoothing it out. and that only comes to 40 dollars not including the cheap bruches and putty and stuff. so you are only looking at 50 tops to do the whole floor with the por-15 so it won't rust back out. Alex
  8. well i think we might have found the problem. if you are ever getting 10 less then what you should be getting then there is either a problem with your fuel pump or the fpr. Alex
  9. whowey - robs page has the list for everything but 91-92s. here is a link to the decoder page. http://comanchemj.1hwy.com/custom3.html see how it matches up to what you have and then maybe we will have a complete set minus the 91-92s. Alex
  10. if the o2 is not hooked up the enigne will run rich and act like it can't breat or is not getting fuel. the engine needs to be running so that you can test pressure when it idles, when you give it some gas, and when it backs off the gas. ok to test the Fuel Pressure Regulator you need to attach a fuel pressure gauge to the rail and test for correct pressure. your pressure will be around 35-40psi for a non-HO enigine and 40-50 for a HO engine. FSM can tell you the true amount for your year and model. Alex
  11. POR-15.COM they have a floorboard repair kit. comes with everything needed. comes with prep stuff, por-15, fiberglass patch, and all the goodies. i have used it several times. not only will it fix your floor but keep it from rusting, fix what rust is there, and the fiberglass patch soaked in the por-15 is just as strong if not better then steel. look it up. i have used it several times for several things. my 86 was my first thing i used it on where i took my time and used it with the patch. and i will say it works like a charm. it even does everything they say it does, like bending with the pipe and stuff. you won't believe some ads you will test when you are bored :chillin: . Alex
  12. yep it was an 88 eliminator :D . had 177 hp and I'm not quite sure on the torque. could burn the tires on take off. and that was my first vehicle. said right on the title that it was one. and if i could find the vin or get it off brett it would say. if you go look on robs mj history page it says that it was introduced in 88 and set the speed record making the 4.0 the fastest engine in its class. then it reset that record in 91 i think and became the fastest engine yet again. Alex
  13. the drop in fuel pressure could be the fuel pump. and the o2 sensor will also make things studder and not run right over all, i know this from almost every ford my dad has had these needed replaced. but these problems could also be the C-101 connector if your jeep is an 87-89, the IAC, TPS, or the FPR. Alex
  14. I don't have a listing of those. I never owned a Jeep that new. What is the VIN on Rob's old one? i will let you know as soon as i know. i asked him what it was today but i forgot he has a wedding this weekend. i should know either sunday or monday. Alex
  15. what about the 91s and 92s? and we could get the eliminator off brett since he has my old 88 eliminator. i don't think i still have the vin for it around on anything... :hmm: Alex
  16. how did you attach that rear? just some plates/homemade brackets welded on then drilled? or did you reuse some brackets? Alex
  17. mind if i ask for some rear bumper pics here instead of starting a new thread? my 91 needs a rear bumper and untill i can find a stock one to beef up i might make a temp heavy-duty one with d-rings and stuff. just need some good ideas. Alex
  18. that seems right for the 1 since his has the driver side only "flag" mirror. what are the rest of the numbers that go in that spot along with what they mean here at the CC, just out of curiosity? Alex
  19. http://www.desktopmachine.com/cars/50-J ... ?mailid=48 its a great site if you want wallpapers of newer jeeps and a few renegades. i also found a really cool one here along with a nice little article: http://www.rockcrawler.com/features/new ... urns60.asp enjoy . and plz post what great jeep wallpaper sites you may have. mainly MJ ones :D. Alex
  20. Pete, wait am i hearing this correctly, your useing cPanel? my uncle tought me that stuff a few years ago. i have not used it since then when i needed it for the yearbook staff in high school a few years back. thats all he does for a livin is anything pc related for his stupid business. maybe ill ask him bout it next time i see him, but for now i might see if i remember how to do it. Alex
  21. ok I'm all for the black. and whatever other color is fine by me. lol. Alex
  22. well i wasnt really using that site for the info. i use it for the pics. since alot of times people are just looking for way to tell what they have. because the pics on there are really good i think. i have not even read any of the info on there other then saying what trannies are what. if i want info i have other sites that i need to get the links to off my laptop. Alex
  23. I was just thinking, we need to have on here a post that tells how to tell what tranny you have. everyone is always asking and figured it would come in handy. i have searched several different ways and nothing is coming up that just states how to tell your tranny. here is a great page i use: http://www.jeeptech.com/trans/ so just post the info in here if there is anything to add to that page. and i would say that Pete should sticky this maybe? Alex

Alex that could be done. what? taking his tape to lowes or meeting at my place. lol Alex
