http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... hlight=fpr read that. i helped him out a little bit into that post. most the things i told him can also cause a no start/no spark. if none of those solutions are it then i have a few more i did not tell him since they did not go along with his problem. i think i can say that the MJ was the last we will see of a jeep truck. since jeep thinks the gladiator would not make a profit and they say it is off no other platform and that the dakota is a good choice if you want a truck. lol. Alex

yes i agree. kudos for taking on an MJ when for some reason others won't. i stick behind them for taking an MJ into their home of mostly FSJ. and I'm with pete on this one also. since most that came from Jeep we need to get ahold of them and ask them why we have never seen some of those options in MJs or there owners manual/factory manuals. and this is exciting isnt it? the MJ might finally get the recognition it deserves and maybe CDX will catch onto this and change their mind about the Gladiator after seeing how many of us there are that love jeep trucks. just talkin as a hardcore jeep fan and proud MJ owner. i will say one thing though, i do like what they have done with that 2wd MJ they got their hands on. bout time they find one so they can be more on our level with some stuff rather then the FSJ builds all the time. Alex

none taken. and i agree with the 13 thing and everything. and i 2nd that jeep mags are for jeeps, jeep builds, parts, trips, and everything dealing with jeeps. and yes we have stated on here many times that the BA-10 is crap and most do a swap. but around here the swap for my 86 to the 3.4 was easier and cheaper then tracking down a 4.0 without rust holes everywhere. it all depends on where you are in the grand old USofA. like i still have yet to find a Gladiator around me that is even worth rebuilding. out west sure go look for a newer 4.0 MJ. at least out there they are not eaten alive by road salt like here. and about the engines, the 4.0 being built and researched and tested before CDX got their hands on jeep. i have a 3 spare 4.0s and one has the AMC logo stamped into it not the chrysler star like the other 2. but i don't think the people at jeep today know anything since they are makin jeep build cars and not listenin to their fans and buildin the gladiator instead. that is funny, good stuff. and thanks. but i might let my subscription end in june since this site has been way more help then Jp. all of us here are on the same level and help everyone out who wants to make their own stuff rather then fork over money for something. they have helped me out with a few things but not enough to keep it coming and just read articles on what their thoughts are about the rigs that they feature. i mean someone else asked what they should do with their 86 with the 2.8 once and they told him to sell it and find a better one since there were no other options. they might have mentioned the 3.4L swap but they forgot to tell the guy that he could have the later yeared 86 that can fit the 4.0 without any real mods. and they said that the 3.4 swap would be too hard or something when it is a straight bolt-in. also not too long ago did you see that they said the 4.0 was from the CDX 2.5L? when we all know the 4.0 is an AMC engine from the 2.5 they used. CDX had nothing to do with either of those engines. i figured i would spice this up a bit since i bet this gets put in next months mailbox area. Alex

i can't stop watchin that nice intro flash on the china site. hmmm... i wonder how much to get one over here so i can hack it up and make a new MJ. lol. i don't see why the panels wouldnt fit but it would look weird since the rest of the body is more like the look of the old grand cherokees. i have a pic of a white one on the street somewhere. can't seem to find it. Alex

hey now I'm only 19 but i know more then i have ever seen written in Jp mag. seems like they have gone downhill. i mean the whole bree stuff and it also seems like they have been doing stuff that they find cool instead of doing stuff that jeepers want to know. also they must think everyone has money because they almost never do homemade stuff but rely on kits and custom made stuff from high dollar places. just my . Alex

yea i like target better then walmart, kmart, or meijers. they are cheaper then walmart and have a better selection. thats were i go for all my movies and games at least. Alex
-
thanks alot 512 and Rob. now if only i could find the rollbar lights diagram and the cherokee stuff. Alex
-
i already emailed them. i also emailed them the MJ concept pic that someone made out of a commander also when i wanted to about CDX not making the Gladiator. Alex
-
yea there were sooo many mistakes in that. some of the pics were cool and some info was right but there were quite a few mistakes. not too impressed with it really. Alex
-
ok i get them now. i might have to look into them for my new baby. are there kits out there for the MJ or would homebrew be the best route? Alex
-
so could you get me the vac diagram for the 4wd for a 91 eliminator? i think it has a vac leak since the CAD won't engage. also if it has the wiring diagram for the lights for the rollbar to the dash switch that would help too. also i could use the ones for the cherokee waggy control center that is under the LCD clock and one for the overhead temp/compass. thanks. Alex

hmmm... i think i have seen this before. oh wait it was life vs. pete back during the hacker thing i think. lol. back to the topic: what are discos really used for? it is about one of the only things i have never really looked into since i don't know why i would need them. Alex
-
that would be cool to have since it is number 9 out of only 100. but i just bought a 91 so I'm broke again. Alex
-
ok a new poll is made. this one should no longer be used. please vote again in the new poll. Alex
-
ok well since the other one got screwed up here is a new one. same as last time. Alex
-
pete said we will eventually have a thing to state what all the terms stand for along with info on how to tell what tranny, transfer case, ect... you have. Alex
-
ok will do since i can't edit or delete this one. Alex
-
well pete can you delete this thred? i will then start a new poll if you can delete this one. PM if can delete this one so i know to start a new one, no sense in having two of the same. Alex

ok so you are wanting to do like i wanted to do, paint your whole truck with it. i am going to do just that in the near future. get some of their por strip stuff, por-15 the whole thing with silver after prepin the metal, then use their hardnose paint over the por-15 so your truck is everything proof but still has a nice gloss to it. look into the hardnose paints if you are thinking about doing that. and i forgot they came out with the 6 pack kit. do that so you only use what you need though. but silver is the best for surface rust since it levels out the best over it. they all will level out with a brush really well also no matter what angle. Cheapest place to buy POR-15
GirsMJ86 replied to JOMJ87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
every time i have used it it stuck fine for me. but then again i have always used their marine clean and metal ready before applying the por-15 itself. and it says that it is not made for smooth applications because it will not stick. if you need it to stick to smooth unrusted metal you have to take a wire wheel and really scratch the out of it first and then clean and metal prep the metal for it to get a strong hold.
