yea sorry. my 91 has the two on the pillars behind the seats that all MJs have. but it also has one on each side down by your feet. i think they were spliced in but they work just like the domes and really brighten up the cab which those stupid domes alone can't do. Alex

sounds like my old 86. but my 91 all four of them work so i am not going to touch them til i need to. maybe once tey start to act up i will get some LED lights in there. but i am hopein to have my XJ overhead compass and lights up soon so i won't need the MJ domes as bad. Alex

all my trim i have always just pulled off. the only thing is is tryin to get the tape off the backside if you want to reuse them. Alex

not to thread jack but... I'm gonna for one quick question. how much lift will SOA get me? i have some coil spacers and i am wandering how much lift the SOA will get me in the rear. thanks and sorry to tread jack. Alex

yea jeep girls are the best since they like to do it dirty. or so they like to brag anyways :brows: . but I'm not that lucky right now. mine doesnt even get the thrill of off-roadin and stuff. she hates my truck, but i guess we can't all be lucky. Alex

heck my 88 2wd eliminator got itself out of 2' deep snow one year. it was covered in a drift also. i cleared the snow out of the way of the drivers door and rocked it a few times and it pulled right out. Alex

yes you can use late model XJ front clips and fenders. if you are doing the 97+ front clip it is better to use those fenders anyways since they have a slightly different shape that will blend the 97 clip into your 86 MJ. but you will still have to get the rad support for what ever engine you have since the 86 rads were farther back in the bay then the 4.0 rads. but just like all the SJs there might be some moddin required. the 8.8 will be really easy to find, plus there are kits, if you don't want to do it yourself, to make it work for your MJ. Alex

you would think it would be the other way round. but i like the liberty better then the nitro. don't ask me why. i have grown to like it. but i will never like the compass or the 4dr wrangler. the commander i could care less about cuz its too big for my taste. and the patriot is going to remind me of the old XJs a bit so its cool. but what i really want is the production of the gladiator and it has to be EXACTLY the same as the concept. but i am so sick of CDX owning jeep that i am pretty much done with them. i am sticking to older jeeps from when jeep was jeep. this 91 of mine will be the newest jeep i ever own unless i find a 92 or the gladiator comes out exactly the same to concept. but what they have done to jeep is just bs. ford and gm might go away but chrysler never will just because of who owns them. but i bet down the road the chrysler-dodge-jeep half goes away too. then what will we do without jeep around at all? just some of what i think about CDX owning jeep. that is sooo true. i am so sick of CDX owning jeep that it is ot funny. they make these awsome show cars for the detroit car shows but never make them. instead they make minivans or cars with the jeep badges on them. i don't think anything but the new wrangler could go off roadin. but i am talkin bout the ones that are still a wrangler and not a four door H2 POS. does anyone have a diagram to install them or know how to do it the easiest way? i have a factory switch to put in the dash and just need to know how to run all the wiring. i am not sure if it would need a fuse or just straight wire them somehow. thanks for the help in advance. Alex

well on my 86 i just dualed it with dual glasspacks and no cats. my 91 has a cat and a 40series flowmaster, but living in ohio i will have to repace the whole thing soon. then i will take it to muffler house since they will hack the cats off and stright pipe it. i am going with a y-split and one of those heavyduty headers so it does not crack on me with this HO. well i was just doing the polls. i also have the programs to make the two winning images as big as we need them without looseing resolution. but as for how they are getting done, try to get ahold of John Q since it was his idea. maybe he knows of a place. Alex

not only that but there is also red paint on the awsome 10 slot chrome grille. lol. but that is one nice 50 footer. i used rustoleum gloss black on my 86 and it turned out real well. it blends together nice too. plus the shine goes away after awhile and it is then sort of inbetween gloss and flat. yes i agree CDX screwed up again. main thing they screwed up on was not makin the Gladiator. but i never noticed how much better this would be as a jeep. i saw it at the car show awhile ago here in columbus, ohio. i was really hopeing the gladiator would have been there but the only thing that was was the stupid compass. not yet. we have to figure out which design is going on which color. then the estimates can be made form that. that poll will be up soon, i sort of got a really low hit below the belt this last weekend from my girl and i am just tryin to cope with it and get back to normal. plus i went muddin with my new 91 for the first time in our field and hit an old fence post and took a chunk out of my sidewall and had to shred a lug nut to get that tire off to put a temp one on. so new poll by this weekend.
