  1. true. i didnt even think about the employees. hmmm. might have to make a trip back and give the manager my two cents worth. Alex
  2. yea. cinemark or whatever its called. only good place around me to go since the one in bucyrus sucks and the one in marion does also. Alex
  3. well u see it must be the rollbar and bully bar that make this truck a target. my other two were black spray paint and factory looking. this one has a shiny paint job and the chrome stuff so i guess that makes it a target. everyone just ignores the huge dent in the drivers cab side. so once that dent gets fixed ill fix all the rust again and use rustoleum on it like my other two were. lol. Alex
  4. true, very true. there really is nothing you can truly do i guess. this stuff happens all the time all over the world. Alex
  5. not for the MJs. Alex
  6. ticked me off like you would not believe. i have had that radio for a few years, used it in all 3 of my MJs but i get this 91 and take it to a bigger city then i live in and it gets stolen. they left all my S&K tools and money but took the radio, a crappy flashlight (left the maglights), and my box of fuses. idiots is all i have to say and they are lucky they got it out before i came out or they would have had to deal with my several sharp objects being stuck in em :D . put the factory am/fm/cass radio in today but forgot the lights to light up the buttons were cut out of it and the display can't be read unless you have a flashlight so you can shine it in it to get it to be readable. i think if i get a second xplod to replace it i am going to figure out how to take the face off a factory radio and be able to put it on the xplod once that faceplate is taken off. idk. crap happens i guess. o but get this. i was parked right behind a nice new commander that was unlocked. saw the people come out to it and get in without unlocking it or useing a remote to unlock/disarm it. got me. Alex
  7. yea i was in mansfeild at the movies. and with how nice of a movie place you would think they would have cameras, but nooo. and id rather keep my windows too then be cold or wet. and thats funny with the z-28. Alex
  8. man that would be harsh to grab onto one of those things. lol. someone want to test one??? :D Alex
  9. well my xplod got stolen and i was wondering, would a factory XJ cd player fit/work in an MJ? never seen one so i am not sure. Alex
  10. it was just an AMC thing for the most part. i think they thought with the width and look of the XJs in 84 and the MJs in 86 they needed more then 7. so they started with 10 slots then in 88 changed it to 8 slots. the XJ then moved to 7 in 97 IIRC. some limited XJs even had many tiny slots. not sure if it was the wagoneer XJs or what. Alex
  11. so i took my girl out to the movies saturday night. thought it was going to be a good night. but when we come out to the MJ she gets in and as i am getting in she says "uh hunny" (while pointing to my radio). at first i don't notice because i thought i just took the faceplate off cuz all i saw was black. so i turn on the lights and i see my stereo is missing  . so i check the rest of the truck and the only other things missing is a box of fuses and a crappy old POS flashlight. but get this, behind my seat i had a box of tools and in the center compartment i had a bag of like 5 dollars in change they left even though they got in there to get the faceplate case. the box of fuses was in my glovebox which right next to those was a nice new maglight that they left. they also left all my magnets and everything else i had in the truck. so now i am without my nice cd player. so for now the factory am/fm/cass radio is going in till i find some better doors with locks that work correctly and an XJ factory cd player. Alex
  12. por-15 actually makes something called "por-patch". what it is is a thicker mixture of por-15 and is made to be used as a sealer. works great also. i use it to smooth out uneven surfaces then use por-15 on the rest and over it. Alex
  13. that will work fine. done it many times and it works great. just on the holes make sure you coat both sides so the underside of the duct tape is not exposed to the elements. what i do is coat the floor first, let it setup a bit so its still tacky then put the tape down then coat both sides of it. heck as long as u coat both sides and do it that way newspaper would work. and for really rusted areas use the silver kind, it has ground aluminum in it and it fills the rusted metal better. and if exposed to heat or uv it turns goldish did it to my old exhaust system right after being put on. oh and as for explainin more i could go ahead and do a whole right up on por-15 for the club once we get it that far along. i have used it for so many different things so many times i should work for em. Alex
  14. you really didnt need the whole kit to tell you the truth. i have used por-15 so many times to restore MJs and K-10s that i know from experience. all you really need is (depending on hole size) the marine clean, metal ready, and the por-15. if the holes are bigger then use the fiberglass patch to cover them. best way to fix smaller holes though is to put maskin tape down since it won't be as rough as the fiberglass patch. and don't worry, por-15 is strong enough to turn that maskin tape into steel. as for useing the black over the por-15, no need unless you are making a show truck. por-15 is uv sensetive but all that does to it is discolor it. i am going to be ripping my floor out this summer to por-15 it and then rhino line it. then put some TJ floor plugs in the floor so it can be hosed out. Alex
  15. if you get it from rough country it comes with what you need. i also have the rustys 3" lift on my 91 and i like it so far. it rides ok and fits 31s nice without trimming. in the future i am going to add an inch or two though so i have more clearance since i hate cuttin. Alex
  16. i like that. but jeeps motto is the whole jeep logo of the wranglers grille, headlights, and windsheild that says "only in a jeep 4x4". back when these were built though it was still "only in a jeep" but there were a few others used for different vehicles. like the newer J-trucks was "make sure you're serious". the older gladiators was "the beautiful brute". the jeep racin one was "jeep: built to conquer". the main ones used for the MJ was "its easy to be a truck. hard to be a jeep." or "the legend lives on" IIRC. but there have been a ton of em. Gas Tank Fun

and rather then cut holes in the bed, just remove it. like 6 or 8 bolts. then you would also have a great time to check back of cab for bad rust and the rest of the frame and stuff. i have to remove mine soon to install me rollbar or if i drilled the holes for the front bar behind the drivers side i would drill the tank. but at least you got it. Alex

  19. yes they are nice. but you can make em even faster if you have new cables/connectors put in for it also. the moment you hit enter/send/whtevr the page is up and fully loaded. my grandpa just did that and his was takin a sec or two to load but now its like instant. out here in farm land we don't even have cable so I'm stuck on dial up though. Alex
  20. around here turbines go for 30 each. 25 if you are lucky. if you have the 125 offer him 100 and see if he bites. if not buy em if u can spare it and sell ur old ones or use them for off-road tires. u can always resell turbines to the right person for a good price. Alex
  21. yea and the 2.8 junker was GM garbage that they couldnt even fix. Alex
  22. ok i was thinking. since all this does really for the most part is turn a command-trac axle into a selec-trac axle, could i swap in the axle shaft from a selec-trac axle on the passenger side? and I'm not too worried about the light. as long as i know the lever is up I'm good. Alex
  23. what cole said. i was not really too sure how it worked but once i did it both wheels can still spin independently either way. they don't spin with power untill you engage the transfercase. Alex
  24. i drew the only in an MJ logo. Alex
  25. yea what C-dub said. might have to look into that a bit more. Alex
