  1. I'd be more interested in Sept as well. Would give me time to get the comanche better equipped. Never been to moab, how friendly is it going to be to a longbed with a 3" lift and 31's?
  2. Searched high and low, and couldn't find one. I did find a few online though. Ordering that and clutch return spring.
  3. Here's what I'm using. I don't remember the dimensions, but it has more than enough room for my crap. I keep a tool bag behind the seat and a bigger tool box in the bed box. I'm going to mount a jerry can for fuel on the pass. Side and a plastic jug for water on the drivers side. I have a 60pc black and Decker tool kit with ratchets, wrenched, drill bits, pliers, cordless drill, etc. that folds up in a case behind the seat. In the box: Fluids (4qts oil, 4qts trans, gear oil, 1gal washer fluid, 1 gal antifreeze) Recovery straps (4x30 30,000lb) 2 ton floor jack Folding shovel Jumper cables Tool bag with wiring/electrical stuff Tool box with cresents, pipe wrench, small sledge, 1/2" socket set, etc. Hand held spotlight Blanket Hatchet Small chainsaw Bow saw Different lengths of rope and cord Ratchets straps 2 firestarter logs Probably forgetting stuff.
  4. I asked about this a while back. Clutch pedal rattling around 3k rpm in neutral and all gears. Goes away b pressing the pedal, but not so much to disengage the clutch. The bushing that goes between the master cylinder rod and pin is shot, so I'm replacing that. It's definitely not a transmission issue, It's a metal hitting metal sound in the cab. I checked the gromet where the cylinder rod goes through the firewall, it seems fine. I don't think that plastic bushing being worn would cause that much racket though. I'll take a video in the morning of the sound.
  5. I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow. It's just one of those locking plastic boxes with latches, called a tuffbox. Holds my tow straps, shovel, spare parts, etc.
  6. MtnClimber, where did you find that?
  7. I like it. Id want the bed to be about 6" longer.
  8. Jeeps are awesome. Trucks are useful and awesome. Jeep truck is useful and super awesome!
  9. These should do the trick. http://www.ironman4x4fab.com/Products/RLS.html

    Interesting Find

I'm not putting my lips on it either way, lol. Trash CNN time.
  12. Will the tow dolly still be an option if the rear end of the samurai I'm towing had welded gears?

    Interesting Find

I was cleaning out a few of the rusted spots on the comanche today.... And this fell out.
  14. What's the towing cap on these?
  15. I've used my 88 longbed to pull my 16ft aluminum boat, my little 4x6 trailer, friends seadoos, etc. What I'm wanting to do is know if it would reliably haul a 14ft camper or a car hauler with something like a Suzuki samurai on it.
  16. I'm buying a 3" kit from rough country with 3" coils and a long add a leaf, then adding a 1" spacer and 2" shackle. Should give me the lift i want until I go SOA.
  17. Trying to figure out the measurements because I'm not near my truck, but I've found a shell for a long bed Dakota. Measurements are 62wide, 98long, 21 tall.
  18. Damn. Guess I have to head to LKQ.
  19. Are they the same whether the trans is auto or manual? A friend of mine is scrapping his 87 Cherokee and I'm going over to cannibalize anything I need off it for free. It's an auto.
  20. Where is a good place to get adjustable lca's and uca's?
  21. I'm about to order it but I had a question first. I already have 2" shackles in the rear and a 2" spacers up front. My question is, if I combine the 2" lift I already have with the 3" kit, will i need new upper and lower control arms? Will the rustys shocks accommodate for the extra 2", if i need New arms, will wj arms work? Will the combo actually get me 5" of lift? I plan on running 33" tires with the lift.
  22. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to this stuff. Getting the glass housings with a halo beam or ones that have the little reflecting cover over the bulb like New cars do will work best. Ddm is all I use. They are guaranteed water proof and so far have had them in numerous vehicles with no problems, exert what cruiser said about the light washing out in some housings. Anything is better than stock sealed beams though
