Ok, I had a friend give me a factory grill guard for an mj. I have seen guys mount a winch to them with some modification. Anyone know how to do this and what is needed?

With a welded and scrap steel....anything is possible.

I'm gonna try to make it fit. I figure if it has clearance for the rear hatch of an XJ to open, it should be fine.

A buddy of mine has a warn rear tire carrier bumper for an XJ that he is going to trade me for 10lbs of deer meat. Will I have any issues with it on the rear of my manche?

Guys here paint everything from lights to wheels to whole cars with plastidip. Peels off and leaves paint underneath unharmed.

Cut the connector off, hard wired in the led lights but i have no power to them. Nieither the jamb switch or dimmer seem to make a difference. They worked when i first got the truck. No power to the constant on wire either.

No power to it either

Ok, so I've removed my factory pillar lights. I'm going to use some led light strips, and i just want them to run off my doors/dimmer switch. But I've got no power to the lights. Fuse is good, power at the fuse block, but no under dash lights and no power to either side of the connector or on either side of the cab. I'm at a loss. Side note: I found, on the drivers side pillar, a lone wire with a connector on the end....what's it fir?

Man, I looked 6 months before I found this one. You can't find them in Oklahoma. Very few in Texas.

16ft bass boat and i think his trailer is 14ft bumper pull. He figured it would pull them because his wife's wj would, and it has the 4.0. After I bought it we realized it had 3.07 gears.

So over the last 2 months, I've been making a list of things to fix on the comanche. Wipers were sluggish, figured a new motor, washer pump was weak, figured Id replace that too. Cb had a lot of static, so i was going to have to remedy that. It idled low and sputtered a bit, figured a tune up was in order. Lights looked like they were a bit dim, so I was gonna upgrade to hids. A few days ago, while off roading in mud, sand, and a few accidental deep holes in the river, my Alternator quit. So, I dropped it at the shop. New Alternator remedied every problem listed.

Friday I got gas for $3.34. Tuesday, which was only 4 days later, $3.93. 87 octane. Ethanol is about $.25 cheaper.

At My Wits End Here With This Rattling Clutch Pedal
Goose replied to Goose's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well, replaced both the spring and the bushing....still get a rattle between 2-3k rpm. This SUCKS! -

I had the truck out on the river yesterday and dipped the front end into a deeper than realized hole. I drove around the trails for about an hour after that and then drove the 45 minute drive home. As I pulled into my street, it would hesitate to accelerate. Then my radio would cut out, and my speakers sound blown. I pulled in the driveway, shut it off, and it was dead, acted like the battery was drained. So I jumped it, and it started fine. Drove Dow the street, no problems. Got home, shut it off, won't start. My battery is an optima red top, so i was surprised that it might be bad. So i jumped it again, let it run, removed the negative cable from the battery, and it dies. So It's my Alternator, right? If so, why would it still idle and run down the road? 88mj, 4.0, optima red top battery

I don't mind body damage, as long as it will still drive home.

I have no rear bumper....so that will help.
