  1. I'll agree with the Bedliner for sure (Line-X or similar is on my "list" for someday), but I'm more of a solid color guy and don't care for the 2 tone look personally (no offense to anyone that is)... Even it if is a butt load of "White"
  2. x2. what paint did you use? This; Over a GOOD coat of
  3. Got the Rollbar repainted and in the bed...now to go tackle the interior leaks...
  4. Paint dry, in the Bed...just need some more washers to complete the bolt-in...
  5. Thanks, that at least gives me something to start with...I was going to look thru the Foam around the hood latch on the pass side to see if I could see any evidence that is where the water might be going in. I went to pull the MJ out of my driveway to fit my Roll Bar (on the incline, nose up), and of course, it wouldn't start (CPS maybe) But as I rolled it down the driveway to push into the street, I could literally hear quite a bit of water sloshing around and pouring out as it was rolling down (mind you, we've had no rain in days). So it's obviously pooling somewhere and not draining correcting, probably from various places. I think Rule #1, don't park it nose up on my incline driveway.
  6. Not even a little bit... I could use the extra $$$ right now... My wife decided we needed a piano and I have a bunch of stuff that i'd like to by for the TJ (and MJ), so I'm not really needing to horde parts and would rather have the $$$. Sw2
  7. Mine more or less matches the Carpet...and the plastic is the same are the rest of the pillar trim. If you posted a WTB and what color interior you have, some one might have one laying around...
  8. Doesn't the entire latch/lever mechanism unbolt from the seat frame?
  9. I put the first coat of hammered black (Rust-oleum)and it's drying now... I think it's going to look REALLY nice. I drilled the holes in the bed and sprayed those holes with some Spray to keep them rust "free" as well. Got some new Grade 8 Mounting hardware to replce the old Torx bolts. With any luck, I'll get it mounted tomorrow once the paint dries. Too bad it won't start again (CPS maybe) and I have the interior gutted again because of leaks. Sw2
  10. Here is what it looks like right now with just a good coat of Krylon Rust Proof Semi-Flat (Cause it's what I had already and thought would be a good base coat). I bought a couple cans of hammered black that I think I might use instead of the bedliner now, but still undecided... I'm gong to go drill some holes in the bed while I decide. sw2
  11. Sorry but i don't know when I'm gona get back to the j yard , if by chance i do ill snag them for ya :agree: Same Here....Now that I know you can check the Pik-N-Pull Inventory for MJ's specifically, I prob won't go back unless they get some new MJ's in. wo wo wo how n the hell do check the inventory ? O and as a side note i found out the other day that my wifes nieces uncle owns the P-N-P in mosslanding , but that don't me squat since i can't get the super hookup from him , o well. Not sure if all the sites are listed in here, but the NorCal ones are... Tells you what Row (never seen a map) and what date they entered the yard! http://www.picknpull.com/check_inventory.aspx

  13. That's OK Don, I'm watching my TIVO of the Holiday Bowl with Nebraska's whooping of Arizona (although the Pac 10 looks not so good so far), and I'm a happy man, regardless of what happens with any other game! SW2
  14. does it count since it's still in pieces??? :D What's the ETA on this thing being "done"
  15. My town of 11,000 has it's own SWAT Van... I feel very safe (but still don't leave the keys in, but the doors of my MJ stays unlocked most of the time). The TJ get's the Garage and the Tahoe sits outside most of the time when I'm putzing in the garage with something. I suspect it gets "honked" (locked and alarmed) more often than not. BUT where we live in NorCal isn't exactly the same at rural WI, IL, or Nebraska (where I came from 11 years ago) by any mean. There are more CAT Convertor's being cut off here than any actual thefts. There was a big run on Modded Toyota Trucks and other rigs) down in Santa Cruz in the last few months, but I think they caught the group of guys that were stealing those. Sw2
  16. I'm not sure what to make of the Sugar Bowl 2nite...is FLA that good, CIN that BAD, or just the team (CIN) giving up after their coach "quit" on them a week or two ago to goto ND. Both teams had Coach stuff going on, and Tebow with ~300 yd's in the first half... sheesh... I'm thinking a combo of CIN not really playing anyone and having that perfect record, thus not really a "real" BCS competition with the likes of the 2nd best team in the SEC... Don won't like to hear this, but I'm getting a feeling that the TX/ALA might be "closer" than I originally thought... I don't beleive it will be an ALA blowout that I did a couple weeks ago when Texas SQUEAKED out against "my" Huskers. I haven't looked at the line and haven't' bet on any of the bowl games this year, but I'd consider betting TX (with the Pts) if the line was right.
  17. Good Idea!!! I have a few on my Fridge...
  18. I guess one other downside...If I put it on there and it looks like poo once it dries it would be a total pain in the butt to remove and start over (likely need full blasting treatment)...
  19. The Lights ended up going for $200 (to a guy in the UK, so will be another $40 to ship) and the Bucket Brackets for ~$104+$15 shipping... I'm almost embarrassed by these prices. Sw2
  20. The one draw back that I've heard is if I get a scratch, it may start to peel off... I could reapply, but it might be easier to just re-apply regular ole' rattle can.
  21. Has anyone used the Duplicolor Spray Bed-Liner on a roll bar? I used it on my stock front bumper to help cover up some of the chips/pot marks. The Roll Bar I got wasn't too rough, but I was considering using the Duplicolor on the roll-bar as well over the top of a nice coat of Krylon Rust-Proof Enamel (already applied). The surface texture is not real rough like herc or some of the spray on bed-liner stuff (Line-X, Rhino, etc). I eventually also plan on getting my bed sprayed, but don't have an extra $400ish right now. Thoughts? Sw2
  22. Option "c"... I Drank and Have no hangover... I didn't start until about 10pm and drank some good Tequilla and a few beers...woke up this AM before 8am feeling great and went out and started wire wheeling a roll bar...
  23. One of my Favorite build threads to drool over the detail on!!!
  24. The flexplate issue is a valid issue, but it's a cheap fix -- especially if you'll have the engine and tranny out for a swap anyway. The center portion of the flexplate cracks, leaving the outer portion no longer connected to the engine. Usually makes a bad rapping noise that sounds a lot like a bad rod bearing. The solution is simply to replace the flexplate -- they're not that expensive. The engine will run so you can check it out -- you just can't drive it. If he says the engine won't run, then either there's a bigger problem, or he drove it like that until the flex plate completely sheared off. Since the CPS gets its cues from the teeth on the rim of the flex plate, if the flex plate isn't still connected well enough to go around with the crankshaft there's no signal. Thanks Eagle... I"m trying to find out just how desperate he is... if he will go $300-400, It would be hard to pass up.
