It is a MORTAL LOCK that his rig will not sell on eBay. As said above, he will pull the auction before it ends. He clearly doesn't understand the law of diminishing returns. My guess is that it should sell for about $3,500.

Thanks Brent, a 14% fuel mileage increase is a very good reason with $4/gallon gas. I'll bookmark that page & add this project to my list.

Wow, $126 is a big price tag for injectors. My 4.0 engine was rebuilt 10 years ago, has 90K miles, and the injectors are not leaking. Would I realize any fuel saving benefit to justify this expense? Also, any feedback on the JP article? I know they are heavily biased toward Jeep, but an MJ mention is pretty cool.

The Celts will take it tonight and Paul Pierce will be named MVP! See you at the parade.

http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticles/ ... index.html Has anyone replaced their fuel injectors with Ford Mustang parts?

Since I purchased my current MJ, I’ve been to about 8 different JY's in 3 states. I’ve run across a total of two-both '86 MJ's that were COMPLETLY stripped-out in New Hampshire. The guy at my local JY here in Massachusetts can't remember the last time he saw one on his lot. Also, in the past 8 months or so, among my friends & family, we have seen a total of 3 MJ's on the roads in New England. I'm inclined to call that rare. However, value is a different question and rarity is only one component of value. It would be interesting to know how many MJ’s are still on the road. The only way to get that number is if someone had access to the registry database in each state, which is not likely. I would guess that less than 30% are still registered.

I could have that plate made at any engraving shop. I'm calling BS on a factory "Street Edition"! -

I go back as far as the '80's and those old Celtic - Laker match-ups were epic! The Celtics are my home town team and I am psyched for this series.

SuperWade2, are you happy with the look of your rattlecan paint job? I am this close to doing it myself. -
Hey Motion Offroad, would these work together on my '89 MJ? Spacers: http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/index. ... ducts_id=6 Shackles: http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/index. ... cts_id=129

Mike, thanks for the info! Do you have any lift in the rear? Also, what size tires do you have in those pics? Lastly, where did you get the 2" spacers?
-
Lots of follow-up questions on this... 1. Eagle, if I just add 3/4" spacers in the front and do nothing to the rear, will the truck still be level? This sounds like a VERY stupid question as I type it!!! 1A. Where do I get a set of rims "with a bit less backspacing than stock"? Is there a specific measurement or type of rim I should look for? 2. Op4guy, I agree with you on PB BLaster-it is the best spray lube on the market. However, I just removed my 6' bed and PB Blaster couldn't loosen 19+ years worth of crud on the bolts. I had to use a propane torch and air wrench to remove them. I'll have pics posted this weekend of my project.

I'm not taking her off-road and I don't want too much lift b/c of the cost of fuel; but I would like her to have a more aggressive stance. I figure a 1 inch lift will be just fine. Any opinions on a a supplier? Has anyone used this type: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1-Budget ... dZViewItem

Windshield Frame removal question
robfg67 replied to robfg67's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hey fiatslug87 & Wildman! That tool was money. I practiced on a Cherokee at the JY in N. Billerica (thanks Twisty) last Saturday and grabbed some extra clips in case any of mine were toast. The tool worked like a charm and well worth the money. I recommend it to anyone who needs to remove window trim. -

Painting the chrome window trim black!
robfg67 replied to robfg67's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm really not sure what it is. Any metal experts out there??? -
Has anyone successfully painted the chrome window trim black? I have read that chrome plated trim is actually nickel plated first, and then a thin flash of chrome is plated on. Paint does not stick to chrome; so it is best to strip it off with muriatic acid. Any thoughts on how to do this correctly?

comanche87, I actually need to wait until I remove both sets-not sure which ones will fit better. I'll let you know when the spare set are available. -
I had a few pictures of her, but just can't find them. I have the white with grey racing stripes. It is completely stock. I've only owed Jeeps my entire life, so this has been a different experience. I'll post some pics in the next few days if it stops raining!
