  1. Has anyone here upgraded their headlight wiring? I followed this write-up: http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htm and I’m officially stuck. Here are my problems when all the wires are connected (as instructed in the write-up): 1. With light switch off, one low beam headlight is on. :???: 2. With headlight switch on, both low beams come on. 3. With high beam switch engaged (pull the turn signal stalk), no lights at all. :dunno: I've mixed and matched the high & low beam wires between the relay pins and I can get the highbeams to go on individually or at the same time, but I can't wire it up so everything works as it should. Can anyone offer a clue as to what might be wrong here? Not sure if it matters, but I'm using 30 amp relays & I don’t have fog lights.
  2. Yes, the RMS does leak. However, the clutch pedal feel has not changed at all, it shifts smoothly into all gears, & never pops out of gear. There are no odd smells or noises-just the shudder/vibration.
  3. TJ, all u-joints have been replaced in the past 9 months or so. What would be an indicator of a bad mount look like?
  4. Does anyone have any suggestions or possible causes? It usually happens on start-up and it sends vibrations throughout the truck. If I give her a little more throttle it will smooth-out. I have no other driveline symptoms or issues.
  5. You can still find boxes. I used http://www.car-part.com to find a rust-free short-bed for $325 this past summer. If you go the bed less route, keep in mind that you will need to engineer a way to support the fuel tank and cover the tops of the wheels. Here is a picture of mine with the bed removed. I applied POR-15 to all exposed metal before I attached the new bed.
  6. That's a good point Randy, although I won't do much hauling in the winter. Although, I may have lost out on them, because he didn't email me back after I offered $275 cash.
  7. I have no lift at all, so they won't look too stupid & Blizzak's are a great snow tire. I've used them on previous Jeeps and they provide better turning and stopping traction than a standard M & S tire.
  8. Wasn't bone stock a P195? I always thought that a narrower tire was better in the snow (than a wider one).
  9. Will P205/70R15 tires fit on the standard 15 x 7 Jeep rim? I want to get a good set of winter tires: http://maine.craigslist.org/pts/912894093.html
  10. Thanks mfpdm, I was able remove the black rubber tube that runs from the door jamb to the door & reach into the opening to grab the door ajar wires.
  11. Ok, this is not a life or death problem, but the driver's side door ajar switch is not functioning and it would be nice to have the interior lights come on at night when I open the door. I unscrewed the driver's side door ajar switch and the wire is not attached to the switch. I took the driver's side kick pannel off to locate the wire. The wire on the pass. side is black with a white stripe-so I'll assume the driver's side should be the same. I also can't determine how the wire enters the cab. I stuck a metal coat hanger in the vacant door ajar switch hole and didn't see the hanger from inside the cab either. How would the wire make its way into the cab? Do I need to remove anything else?
  12. I meant that this electrical manual is a great resource to have-thanks for posting. I am not questioning anything!
  13. Brent, this file is money. Not to hyjack this thread, but does anyone know how much of the fog lamp wiring harness is built-in to a MJ that doesn't have it as an option? I have the fog lamp plug on the left side of the dash board. How far back does this harness go? Looking at Brent's electrical manual, does the harness go all the way to the fog lamp relay? If so where is the factory fog lamp relay mounted?
  14. There are a total of 8 bolts that hold the bed down. You will also need to remove the gas tank & emergency brake bracket. I did this recently and I needed to use PB Blaster, heat the bolts with a propane tank & use an air wrench to remove the bolts. Here are a couple links: viewtopic.php?t=8287&highlight=bed http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1988
  15. Jim, I don't have that problem. Perhaps because I have the after-market 4-piece rear sliding window and it no longer has the compression-style lock on it. Did I mention...Go Pats tonight!
  16. Renault has also been rumored to have a role in the new Chrysler/Jeep. What year is it again???
  17. Mine runs up the drivers A-pillar, tucks under the headliner & wraps around to the sliding window and exits to the top of the cab.

A couple of years ago Halle Berry won the Harvard University Hasty Pudding award and flew into a smaller airport just outside of Boston. My brother in-law owns a charter air travel company based there and met her when she came through. He told me that she was absolutely stunning.
