  1. only 110mm 10x1.5 bolts I could find weren't threaded quite far enough so I cut them a little further. Crude, but it'll work.
  2. Here's one mount mocked up. This is going to take a while.
  3. The frame is staying open. I just added material to the sides to fill in the "low spots" around the shackle mounts. These are the mounts (guess I never put up a picture of them.) Bed was cut to allow for their height.
  4. The mounts are going to pass completely through the box tube of the bumper.
  5. Can't say I know what you mean...
  6. Plasma cutters. Are. Awesome! Nothing like slicing through. 25" steel like cardboard.
  7. You'll probably never know the difference man. I like the thought of added material. If I had a ton of extra time on my hands I'd weld in a couple sections of tube to further strengthen the box but I'm trying to control myself [emoji12]
  8. Need to step up in length, but this is the idea.
  9. These will make the rearmost section of the frame a flush surface.
  10. Long, long overdue progress. Decided to mirror the factory bumper mounting bolt locations on the inboard sides of the frame. Making the reliefs in the bed taller and wider was quite time consuming.
  11. Or has anyone had this problem before? https://scontent-b-dfw.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/t1.0-9/10394542_10100278783363015_588812047981845905_n.jpg I'm looking at taking on a major body repair and repaint job on the ol' girl and the tailgate is dented fairly significantly in several places. Am I in uncharted waters?
  12. One clean rig you had there bro. Hope the new owner keeps comancheclub.com up to speed!
  13. Really, really want a new shifter and new seats. Its the little things, lol.
  14. By "awesome upgrade" I assume you're referring to the shift throw and feel and not the shiny HURST stick?
  15. Best conversion I've seen is a VW TDI (weight, power, size, drivability). Although this little guy is gonna be nice in the no-electronics dept.
  16. sweet build. interested to see what intercooler you're considering.
  17. Dig the "oven"!
  18. and yea I've never heard of an 8v reference before...
  19. Yes sir, works great. I like the feel of it, although I am going to put a larger master in for less lever throw. I couldn't see mounting another set of calipers out back, this setup works excellent without the hassle. I was wondering this as well. So it only actuates the rears? You got me daydreaming about a 4wheel hydro e-brake since our lovely stock parking brake setups are so shaky.
  20. Just ran across this yesterday. http://www.cotybuilt.com/
